One of the biggest myths of self development imo. Caring about how others think you look is good to an extent. It makes you dress nice, have a decent haircut, tan etc. These things will help with making friends, meeting people, getting job interviews, etc.

I walked around not giving a single fuk for weeks, you are who you are, no gay-ass hairstyle to worry about

it's liberating and works for everyone who's lean and not too hideous.

I like my hair, tho. So this summer I'm growing it out

This. I went out of my house for months without doing my hair and grooming anymore. Felt really good to kinda step out of that "rat race" and not giving a ****. However, I got the feeling of lost potential with people mirin so I do all that chit again. Just do whatever you wanna do lol, no one cares but you.
