The part that's fukd is that my form imo was proper, I chalk the injury up to fatigue/not really stretching properly before hand.

I've been down that road, OP.
Fuked my back royally. Had on and off problems for a long time.

Treat it fast. Ibuprofen, ice, light stretching.

I still deadlift but I use a trap bar (aka hex bar) and don't go too heavy.

If the pain goes away in 7-10 days time you're fine. I've had the same thing happen to me twice and that was because of a weak core, and thus I couldn't brace it effectively. Rest for at least a week and when you feel your back is 100% fine, start light. Focus on situps and planks to strengthen your core.

Calm your ass down and reassess tomorrow.

most important thing you can do isLEARN YOUR LESSON AND FOCUS ON FORM,FLEXIBILITY/MOBILITY and WARMUPS. Leave your ego at home if you want to lift until you're an old man.

My injury lingered for a few months until one day my right leg went completely dead and I had fire going from my back all the way down to my ankle. Got an MRI and I herniated the disc and it was pinching my sciatic nerve. If it persists I would get an MRI, X rays do nothing.

Why are you doing three sets?

Do a warmup. Then do a working set. Then go home.

I had an SI sprain from going too low/dipping on squats. It was a ****ing warmup set too lol. The pain only lasted a few days but that reinforced my opinion on good form > weight.

For reference, the SI joint is just underneath your tailbone and right before your ass starts.

Just did a lumbo sacral joint strain from going low on high bar squats. Did 330lbs for 10

Went about my week with a nerve pain down my leg and cpuld barely lean forward without intense nerve pain in my lower back and ass

Recovering now with anti inflammatory and natural mus le relaxers as it was the spasms causing the pain

Just rest up, avoid painkillers as I took a days worth and trying to chit right now and cant

story time:

injured back during DL 13 weeks ago. injury did not get better at all. started DLing again 3 weeks ago with light weight even tho injury still strong. re-injured back last week while doing deadlifts with medium weight.

tour is over for me boyo.

pro cripple tips:

don't aggrevate the injury. take 1-3 full weeks off from the gym. do some light activities if u need to do sth. fitness related.. like band pull aparts, forearm curls or sum chit like dat.
stop DLing for AT LEAST 6 weeks. my retard azz deadlifted the week after I injured myself and that made it worse. plus i worked out like normal the week after the injury. take time off! don't be a retard like me.

Probably just pulled some muscle back there OP. I hurt my back pretty bad for the first time ever a couple months ago rolling in my BJJ class. Did some stupid move and pulled something. An hour later could barely walk or move around. My suggestion is to see a chiropractor ASAP. AND I MEAN ASAP. Two weeks is all it took for me to recover 100%.

Btw idk how much you were lifting but I regularly do 405lb deadlifts and never hurt my back. Your form may need some tweaking. Remember to get down really low on that first Rep. Back parallel to the ground. You almost want to be in a ass to grass position when starting your dealifts.
