Should people who earn 30k or less per year be allowed to vote? (srs discussion)
I mean when you think about all the corrupt politicians there are, stupid laws, corporate fukkery, and all the stuff going on in the world.... you have to wonder who it is that votes these clowns into office.
Being able to put these people into their positions is a pretty powerful responsibility held by the voting public.
Well clearly not everyone is capable of making rational decisions and many people act on impulse. For instance, uttering the words "equality" or "gun" is enough to seal the deal and win the vote of some of our lower IQed counterparts.
How do we fix this? Easy. All we have to do is put in place some criteria to qualify people for voting. The obvious answer is to take people who make 30k or less per year and take away their voting rights - or rather make them EARN their voting rights.
I guarantee you that would get this country running like a well oiled machine in no time, from the local level up to Washington.
Thoughts?

What about increments of $30K? If someone makes $60K a year, do they get two votes and does it in crease to three votes at $90K a year?

You're ****ing stupid if you think low income = stupid
Pretty sure poor people are less likely to vote tbh so your entire theory crumbles.
Also, you surely realize that most people who are rich were also born rich right? Your social class is mainly correlated to your class you were born in to. And there's plenty of ****ing stupid rich people
Brb apparnrlty we shouldn't let college students vote because they don't make over 30k yet?
Negged for being stupid as sheit

I personally think that young people who recieve SSI for the sole purpose of being lazy shouldn't vote. I knew one guy who only worked 3 hours a day and received 449$/month but to receive said amount he had to work 3 hours a day. If he worked the full 8 hours he makes roughly the same so in his mind its better to get SSI and only work 3 hours a day.

I personally don't think most people should vote... I'm talking 95% of people...

so the Kardashian girls get to vote because they rake in millions of dollars for having big asses, but employees who put in honest, good work in fast food/retail and get paid **** don't? I think any law abiding American citizen should be able to vote. There are plenty of high IQ people working **** jobs, and plenty of stupid people getting paid over 100k a year. I think income is a poor way of measuring overall intelligence.

Even people who don't make enough to have a federal income tax burden are still paying payroll taxes and therefore are on the federal government tax roll. They are also working and therefore contributing to society. Able bodied adults who don't pay any taxes because they do not work at all....there is some argument there...but I don't see how its enforceable. People don't even have to show ID to vote for God's sake (which is ludicrous).

If you have not served in the military or performed a civil service you should not be able to vote.
Edit: Second for "Should lose voting rights once you collect welfare. Absolutely retarded to let people vote themselves more money." as user above posted.

I think they should just raise the age limit from 30-55, brb 27 and have lived at home all your life and want to be able to vote for laws for the rest of us. You barely get a vote in your own parents home. Lol
