Historically, if a democrat wins, the stock markets react by going down the next day, and if a republican, then stock markets go up.

Ironically, if one looks at the actual economic data since WW2, the economy has grown more during democratic administrations than republican ones.

But the professionals who buy and sell billions of dollars of securities, stocks and commodities each day are too stupid to look at their own compiled data.



This time around, though, Hillary is the 'safe' bet that the stock markets would react to her winning favorably, while Trump is the big question mark of insecurity that would likely cause the markets to drop a few percent initially. Then when people realize the sky isn't falling it would rebound back to pre-election levels within a week.
