Social anxiety so bad I can't leave the house *Srs*
Misc, so I have been laid off from my job in the oil and gas industry for 2 months now. And for some reason I think I have developed social anxiety or some other disorder. I am afraid to leave the house. Fukkkn srs. I will go where I can avoid people at all costs. Lifting at 3:30 in the morning. Even going to the grocery store is hard.
I was downtown the other day doing some banking and I took the train, and even being near any people makes me start sweating and shaking. I think there's something seriously wrong with me.
My family is all getting together for Christmas and I'm doing everything I can to get out of having to be around all my family. Worse part is all my cousins are my age and have wives and or engaged and I just feel like a pathetic beta duck being the only single guy and old as fuk @ 27.
Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong with me? I'm terrified of people and I just want to be alone and not be seen 24/7.
Srs thread is Srs boyos. No joke please respect tag.

Welcome to the club brah, It got so bad for me I had to go on pills for it, currently taking the most powerful anxiety meds you can take as needed and those only seem to help it by 30%. No anxiety meds will 100% cure your anxiety, the only way is take care of it yourself by somehow mentally being motivated to do so.

Try Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) before drugs. There's just as many studies showing SSRI's don't work as there are saying they do, some doctors consider them to be expensive placebos. The role of serotonin is still not fully understood and messing with it usually doesn't help, it just causes negative side effects. Benzos work but lose their strength and are highly addictive.
Work with a therapist or you can do it alone online. Hint: It's a fancier form of exposure therapy. If done with a therapist/psychologist they can help pinpoint the thought process causing you anxiety and work with you on fixing it.

perhaps look into seeing a therapist. maybe look into supplementing phenibut and/or l-theanine. phenibut is like benzo without the side effects apparently.
edit: also, high dose (at least 7g) vitamin c at a time. chit is magic. good before bed too if you have sleep issues.

You're experiencing an acute, yet irrational fear at the thought of being embarrassed for your work situation.
It'll get worse unless you nut up and confront your demons. Face your fear head on. The easiest way to overcome anxiety is to beat it back right when it sets in.
Do it now. Don't wait.

Loss of purpose, self worth from unemployment and being single?
Start actively looking for work and women. In regards to Christmas it won't be nearly as bad as it is in your head, you'll probly have a good time actually.

OP, you could be under demonic obsession.
Are you respecting Gods moral laws?
I use to struggle with sin and I would get spiritually and mentally weaker.
If you are sinning, then stop as it is against God.
Listen to this song by Manny Pacquiao, fellow Christian and boxer to list up your spirits OP
Mods, please tell me if you want me to stop posting this video over and over, okay? It's just that I like listening to this song and if it's spam I will stop posting it, fair?

Try taking baby steps OP...And as scary as it sounds...try pushing the envelope. Try talking to someone even when it feels like you're about to jump out of your own skin. Tackle your demons head on. Try everything you can before heading down the medication route bro...seriously...I've flat out lost friends who got into benzos. You can also have seizures from benzo withdrawals...They're bad news man. They should be absolutely a last resort when all else has failed.
I wish you luck man but honestly you should be OK. Any brah who has the self fortitude to get a physique like yours has the mental fortitude to overcome atemporaryroadblock in his life.

Highly advise against taking any drugs. You were fine until you got laid off. You already identified that trigger as the cause for the onset of your anxiety.
Take it from someone who had crippling social anxiety for almost 10 years and used lexapro, risperdal, doxepin, lorazapam, zoloft and abilify. They all mitigate the symptoms (barely), but do nothing to address the underlying problem.
Get. To. The. Source.
Face your fears.
Period.

You need to get laid man. Having no job has made you lose your confidence. You need to regain your confidence
You like D&D, Audrey Hepburn, Fangoria, Harry Houdini, and croquet. You can’t swim, you can’t dance, and you don’t know karate. Face it. You’re never gonna make it.

have you ever tried meetup.com? hitting up bars? i think once you get back out into the work force too it will give you a sense of purpose and hopefully make you more accustomed to human interaction again. you got this op.

Before you see a psy doc do consider trying phenibut (happy hippo brand only) I've tried everything known to man and when I compare everything Phenibut is up there with the top dogs (even hard anxiety pills) if done correctly.

You guys that are recommending the use of anything exogenous don't get it.
Are you trying to make his anxiety worse, when he runs out of the substance he thinks he needs just to manage his fear enough to leave the house?
**** dude. Get off the ****ing internet and stop looking for pity. It's the only thing that will change your life. Not a prescribed medication, phenibut, ****ty dating advice from the misc, or some psychobabble. Just take some ****ing action.
Sad you lost your job? Stop sitting around ****ing moping about it and look for a new one. If you don't have one in time for the holiday get-together, you'll at least feel better than you do now, because you'll have a lead for a story. You'll at least have a prospective interview to talk about. Stop delaying. Get the **** off your ass ***got.
