FedEX left a $6000 package in front my door when signature required... What do?

They ended up delivering anyways and just left it on my doorstep without signature.
I come back a week later and obviously the package is stolen... I'm not even surprised
I call up my credit card company saying I bought an item and haven't received it and Capital One won't cover the purchase.

Am I royally ****ed?
FedEX is just investigating the claim

Cliffs
Leaving town
Call up FedEX to put package on hold at facility
They leave a $6000 package infront of my house and expect it not be be stolen
Signature was required on package... wasn't signed for
Call up credit card company to get my money back & they said they don't cover anything that you don't receive

LOL @ all the negs because I won't tell you what I sell so you can copy or look into the same products...

Find it hard to believe that your CC company wouldn't cover you....... canadians gonna canadian

Have you contacted the company who sold you whatever it was? They should be going after FedEx if Signature was required.

This if their is no proof of delivery aka your sig - on a purchase that required a sig I see no way fedex can fight this.

also, the pricetag has be wonderin what you bought.

You're in Canada, so laws are different from what I'm used to. Here, the company you purchased it from is responsible for ensuring delivery. They brought FedEx into the transaction, so FedEx is an agent of the seller. I would contact my credit card company and DEMAND they issue a charge back, as the seller failed to deliver the item purchased.

If that fails, you need to go to the courts. Small claims or get a lawyer, depends on how your laws break down the value. You might fish around and see if there are any free consultations offered by local lawyers.

Oh, and sorry about you not getting that $6000 Real Doll you ordered.

In b4 copy cat thread "just stole this guys package AMA "
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Who cares what your CC comapny is saying right now, what did Fedex say when you called them?

Would not get CC company involved until FEDEX repeatedly refuses to play ball

So I ordered a rifle on gunbroker from a private seller. For the unaware, it still had to be delivered to an FFL (gun shop), and it was. Anyway, the rifle was shipped in its original package, a box that clearly says what it is, with pictures. And that's all, no wrapping, no larger box around it. The rifle was worth $5k; don't judge me. Anyway, I got it just fine, but as soon as I got to the shop to pick it up, and realized that it was shipped as such, I was very concerned at how stupid the seller was, and how lucky I was that it made it safely. Stupid people out there.

Did FedEx confirm you'd asked to have package held? If yes I think they'll make it right.
Did they get a signature from someone or the driver just didn't bother? They may have delivered to your neighbour or something, they'll want to try to figure out what happened.
At this point I think you have to pursue the claim through FedEx which might drag on.

Go into your bank branch and ask them to do a charge back on the money stating breach of contract and no more (the breach of contract being that you paid, they didn't complete their side)

what do you mean, "won't cover the purchase".

do you mean lost/damaged item insurance?

doesn't matter if you're in Canada or timbuktu. if you dispute a charge, your CC will send you a form so that you can sign off and you'll be refunded the purchase price.

Its the company that sold you the product and the shipping companies problem. Not your problem.

Tell them to resend it, or for fedex to give you your package. Your the customer, you have rights.

you can do a charge back on your cc - the seller has to prove you received it, which they cant, then they will go after fed ex and you will get a refund
