I would assume most people at least the type I associate with will make that between their late 20's to mid mid 30's. Any family over 25 should at least make that.

Just because YOU don't doesn't mean other people don't.

100k is pretty damn average in a lot of areas

I'm pretty sure don is older than you and makes over $100k brah.

Maybe most of the people you ASSOCIATE with make over $100k, I'm only 23 but in 10 years that will apply to me as well, but not most of the people you KNOW. There's just too few people in the world that actually do

Did I say I cant fathom making $100K?
Im saying your BS STATEMENT THAT YOU KNOW MORE PEOPLE MAKING $100K per year than people that dont is UTTER and ENTIRE BS.
Im surrounded by some big hitters, id say i even live in a bubble. BUT NO WAY, not even close do I know more people making over $100k than not.

My milestone was always 75K

Remember when I was younger and overhearing one of my friends talking about their dad making that. They always had nice things and guess it stuck with me. Well I just got a nice raise, crossed that number (without taking my bonus into account) and now make 78K. Would it be nice to make 100K, sure. Been I'm honestly content with my salary and live a pretty good life between my wife and I working. Doesn't hurt that we live in a smaller city where the cost of living is relatively low, especially for being by the ocean.

Do I know most of the world? Of the people I associate with (friends, family, colleagues), the majority are making 6 figures. This isn't 1995 anymore, I don't know why people think 100k is difficult to attain. Become a professional of pretty much any sort (medicine, finance, engineering,IT,) and you are going to make 100K+ within 5-7 years. If you aren't then you're doing something wrong.
