Calisthenics only and low carb transformed me

Into weights and the "bodybuilding diet" all my life. Built up to a 1000 pound total for the bench, squat and dead (weak as **** by competitive standards, but decent for just in the gym). Always wanted to be huge but really just looked like chit. I have a skinny as **** bone structure that doesn't carry bulk well and the heavy weights always gave me some nagging back issues. I was slow and plodding.

Well September 2016 I gave up weights and switched over to full body calisthenics. I also went low carb. I have never felt better in all my life. I feel athletic, energetic and healthy. Before is a nasty, bloated no shape 220 pound mess. Afters were just this past week 180 and feeling fantastic. Finally accepted I wasn't born to be a hulk, but I can look and feel great in my own way.

What do you eat in an average day? And what's your calisthenics routine andcardio?

Thanks so much guys. By the way I have body dysmorphic disorder, so look at myself in a very negative distorted way so this is helping massively with my confidence.

Diet is:

Meal 1 5 whole eggs, handful of nuts, coconjt oil
Meal 2 chicken, green veg, handful of nuts, butter and olive oil
Meal 3 Motzarella cheese

Sundays I carb up and eat what I want.

I train 5 times a week and its just a circuit with little rest 1 set to failure on different pull ups, dips, pushups, squats, planking etc. Just this past week or two I have thrown in some kettlebell swings and started doing weighted pullups etc.

Hahaha yeah pictures look a little iffy because of the lighting looks like my dink is out etc....they are all legit though!

Will post legs tomorrow when I get a chance. Absolutely nothing about me is "big". I do not have tree trunks etc. I do though have good shape to my legs and some straightations etc.

Good stuff, man. Swings are the only KB exercise you do, no front squats or anything? Started combining kettlebell work with bodyweight exercises late last year and love it, and the swings have worked wonders for my lower back and overall posture. Keep it up, dude.

Thanks so much for those words brother. I knew posting here I may be judged by some for not looking like a bodybuilder. I tried all that and did not have the genetics for it so had to either being happy with different goas or hurt myself trying to be something mother nature didn't want for me. I chose option 1 lol! I feel fantastic!

I dont want tree trunks on caliesthenics. I only want to look athletic , not have that bloated bodybuilder look.

How does it affect you mentally not looking like you lift with clothes on? Especially in the dreary UK with few chances to walk around shirtless?

How tall are you?

I'm 180 at 5'8" and look great IMO though not close to as lean as you are.

Sorry for my newbness with kettlebells....I do the movement where I'm in a deep squat and expload into swinging the kettlebell to just above shoulder height.

Not surprising at all; depending on how many carbs you eat, which doesn't sound like a lot, your body is in a state called Ketosis.

You look awesome; keep it up. Reps.

You can gain a lot more size lifting now if you wanted btw
