I cycle because:

- I can get sunshine, exercise and fresh air on my workdays. Studies show this makes you happier

- I don't have to sit in traffic or take public transport

- It's faster than either of the above options

- It's virtually free

- It's better for the environment, and our cities would be better off if more people cycled

- The ceo and CFO of my company, who earn millions per year cycle too. If it's good enough for them I think it's good enough for us.

Is that enough reasons for you OP? Grow up.

no traffic, no parking issues, save on fuel, receive "bike-fee" per km, cardio, ...

I bike to work everyday (20 km / 12 miles one-way), thankfully more than half my route is next to the river in a no-car zone.

I used to ride 10 miles each way to work.

Took only afew minutes longer than in a car.

Never again tho.

My buddies dad is an exec and he bikes to work for exercise. Makes half a mil a year probably, has an amazing house and is in great shape for a dude who's 50. I don't consider him a loser at all.

But obviously most are the people you're thinking of haha

False. I did it when I worked security. Employee locker room and showers. Fat ugly employees umbilical cord connected to their polluting cars so I basically had the entire locker room to myself. Win, win.

I look forward to having such an opportunity at my next job.

Im in England and the cyclists here are the WORST. The roads here can get extremely narrow so one bike could hold up damn near 20 cars before its safe to pass the *******.
