Agreed. The only people I see deadlift heavy are tiny twinks who look like they're about to snap their back.

Agree quite rarely see aesthetic brahs doing heavy low rep squats and deads

Seems to be either chunky athletes or overcompensating incels doing them

Deadlifts at the end of full body workout crew chekin in

After a Leg press, DB row and DB Pullover, you pretty much can't deadlift

Can always replace legpress with squat to make it worse

What was your max when you used to deadlift? Not sure what your stats are but just based on your avi, I would assume you could pull at least 600, squat at least 550 and bench (with pause) at least 425.

think like 655-675 with straps was a while ago felt dangerous the lower part of the deadlift where u take it off the ground is the most dangerous part which is why i do rackpulls now

Agreed. Your lower back and health is more important than strength and showing off how much you can deadlift. This ain't the Stone Age, you don't need to lift heavy chit to survive.

I think deadlifts are overrated. Sure it is a fantastic compound exercise, but once you start getting into 500+ weight range it isn't worth the risk imo. Even if you have perfect form, you can still really phuck yourself up, and there is simply no way of knowing what your tolerance is until you finally herniate a disc.

All the classic lifts, such as standing military press, deadlift, bench, and squat are like this. So many people phuck themselves going heavy on squats. And bench imo is just a bad exercise to do because of the way it restricts ROM and uses your shoulders. I think dumbbells are better for you in the long run.

If you did these exercises carefully with extremely steady progression, they would be more safe, but who actually does that? People always try to push really hard, especially on deadlifts. If you are maxing for deads and going very heavy, you can seriously hurt yourself if you fail. And of course with bench, you could phuck your rotator cuff and or die. With heavy squats it's a similar risk to deadlift.

Just ask any serious powerlifter about their injuries and you will see it isn't as safe as people pretend it is.

Rackpulls are so much better than dl imo.

Would rather just look like I can do it but all I can really do is bicep curl a tin of beans for 300 reps
