2 options:
1. Develop extreme will power
2. Hit rock bottom and be forced to get over it
For me it was rock bottom. When you can't look yourself in the eyes. You know you are there

But I've been clean for 3 days, so that's a start.
OP, just remember one thing: If you can stay clean for 24 hours, you can stay clean for the rest of your life.

OP that's the drugs talking, tweaking like that for an extended period of time will make you feel so dirty, anxious, paranoid, can't seem to be content for the life of you. Talk to your family again and tell them you NEED help, you need to go to addictions council. If you don't this could escalate past the substance you're on right now to something so much worse before you even realize it, then it will be too late

I've been clean since December 9, 2005.
Word of advice, make sure you go clean for yourself, not for someone else. If you try and go sober for someone else and you slip, you'll most likely avoid that person cause of the shame you feel over slipping up, and you'll keep using drugs behind their back and lie about it.
When you go clean for yourself, you can't hide from yourself, and you can't lie to yourself, you have to face your conscious 24 hrs a day.
I had to get rid of all my friends that used drugs, it was not easy but it was what I had to do to better myself. I changed my phone number and only gave it to my immediate family members. I went ghost to the world until I sobered up.
The hardest part, and the part I still struggle with is reinventing myself after going sober, the way I acted before I went sober is way different than I am sober, I am EXTREMELY introverted and shy sober, drugs is what got me out of my shell, so now I struggle to have a social life. I am glad I gave up drugs, I think I'd be dead or in jail if I hadn't changed my ways, srs!

You need to take control that's all it comes down to, and once you realize it, it'll be easier to quit, do some introspection.
Right now the drug is controlling you, once you're in control it'll lose its power over you.

Write down what you want in the future. Write down how you imagine your life will be if you stop doing the things you know you shouldn't be doing. Then write down how your future will be if you keep doing stupid things you know you shouldn't be doing. Give yourself a heaven to strive to create and at the same time a hell you are running away from. You have the choice to be high for the rest of your life or to actually live and enjoy your life. We only get one life and there is no reset button. I know you can achieve anything you set your mind on achieving

It helps if you find something else to replace it, some activity or hobby you love.

Disease model is very popular but just not accurate.
There's a poster in this thread who said that he just woke up one day in 2005 and never did drugs since. Do you think if he had Alzheimers or diabetes that he could just wake up one day and decide to not to have Alzheimers or diabetes?

Lol, in the same boat as you, OP.
I don't intend to ever quit though. I'm probably just going to get a time release safe so that I can regulate my eating of, um, jelly beans. I just can't let go of dem productivity gains. Especially if I end up succumbing to dat wagecuck life years from now. Omfg.

"Google" has nothing to do with it, it's the part about the American Medical Association. Virtually every professional who studies the subject supports the disease model.
But of course, some random dipchit on the misc is so much more credible than all the doctors and scientists who study it and come to the same conclusion based on evidence.
And the BS about Alzheimers is an irrelevant red herring.
