Is london the most overrated city in the world?

So many Americans place the British on a pedestal. We view them as intelligent, sophisticated europeans. London is always on every American's bucket list to visit. In reality, the place is just one giant dirty ghetto, filled with dangerous third world immigrants. The natives are all wannabe gangsters and the equivalent of white trailer trash here in the U.S...

OP don't be a *******. A photograph of a Canal when the tide is out is hardly worth commenting on. London is one of the most amazing cities in the world. Full of culture and so many things to do. Who cares about migrants at this stage being there, I am sure all they want is a better life.

Grew up in South London for 13 years and can confirm atleast in my neck of the woods it was a sh*thole, the school I was in was a sh*thole too. Finally moved out of there to South of England, seemed like a different country.

There are a few nice area's and some great dining and night life options but i would say around 80% of London is a **** hole. Expensive, crowded, dirty, full of immigrants/scum bags etc

3 days looking around the tourist parts of the city was enough

If you're rich as **** then London is good cause you can stay around the nice parts, you're looking at lunch for £8 minimum or drinks in a club like £8 for one drink (entrance fees £20 for most big clubs). Does have its bad parts as any major city does but in comparison to Paris its luxuary. Paris was an absolute ****hole all over.

So much truth ITT. London is an absolute **** hole. It's like a smaller version of the British empire - It used to be great but now it's a dump. Everything is old and antiquated, it's full of mudslimes and ****skins, and people are dumb enough to think it's a nice place.

If you like history, somewhere like Cambridge or Oxford would be much better. They're also old, and not full of degenerates.
If you want to see an actual city, pretty much any big Asian city will show how crappy London is.

Oh look, more British hate. London has that draw because in historic terms it butt fuks any new world city or Asian plastic city. But yes there are much better places to visit in the UK - I'm not a massive London fan, but there are still some very cool places to see. London has been killed by over population.

-Architecture mixed between old and very modern
-very polite people
-population and culture diversified
-easy to navigate
-green parks are beautiful
-Big city feel lik there's always something happening
