here's why:
CONVENIENT. It's 5am. I am not doing more than 1 step in the morning, turn it on.

You wake up, turn it on. fill it with water & coffee the night before. You can buy them with a timer where it turns it on automatically for you; just if pushing the button is just way too much stress for you in the morning.

Yeah it does lol. Kind of a nostalgic sensory feature of the percalator.

I've tried French press and using grinders etc. All a waste. Pre-ground + percolator wins every time.

You need to consider coming out of the closet if you seriously get your panties in a wad over having Foldgers breakfast blend drip coffee instead of Black Velvet French pressed once in awhile. Having preferences is fine, but coffee snobbery is seriously like hipster douche bags getting uppity over their adoration of craft beer/PBR while acting like anyone who likes anything else is inferior.
