Am I Missing Out a Lot by Not Having Children?

Do they really change a man's perspective in life and make life totally different?

I mean, I made a decision not to have kids, but many people kept telling me I am missing out. And most of all, they said I will be lonely when I grow old without kids. Ex-classmates most have kids and they always talk about it(and I bet salivate at hot young girls while their wives are fat and ugly now)...

So am I missing a lot?

my friends ive known for 10 years+ both had kids. they were stoner gamers and now they act like theyre on ******** all day. working hard.

these guys i never seen so affectionate talk so highly of their kids. i think it really does change you. it was really a motivator kick in their ass. they both have good jobs. they both love their kids mroe than anything else. my one friend was huge stoner he smokes like biweekly now cause he rather spend that money on his kid

im proud of them tbh

That's a really personal decision only you can make.

It's true you may be missing a lot by not having kids, but you will miss out on a lot by having them also. Ask yourself what things you value the most in life and go from there.

Not sure if it applies but when I had a shift in personality when I became an uncle. I used to be indifferent to children and now I'm leaning towards having kids. It sparks some biological instinct that makes you want to get sum bizniss so you can fukcing take care of it. Something like that.

Kids are ONE OF the best 'things' (if you can call them that LOL) in the world...


I plan to have a whole football squad with a f*cking rich guy ahaha, nah I'm kidding, I think maximum I would like is 4 (2 boys and 2 girls), then I'd get some like va jay jay surgery to keep that area lookin' hot lol after I'm done popping them out


Seriously, though, I have two baby cousins (between 4-5) and they bring an internal joy into my life that you can't even comprehend, they are the sweetest and you just want to cuddle them and keep them safe and away from all the harm in the world. They are also so funny, and innocent-funny that they'll make you laugh ALL the time...

Yes, but you'll miss out on things with them also. I always knew I wanted to be a dad, it was just a matter of when.

There are times when I wish I had just a few more years of selfishness, but parents aren't kidding when they say they wouldn't trade it for the world. Being a dad is fukking awesome. Nothing else will compare to watching the life you brought into the world grow up and learn, and come to you for love and support throughout their lives.


Doing whatever you want is also cool though, so you gotta pick.

I think someday everyone should have kids, especially if you're a man, to continue your DNA, blood, and family name. BUT when you're ready to have kids is your own personal decision. You have to be ready, don't be like most people and have kids via mistake. Plus, kids take up so much of your time and life, most people lose their youth just from one kid, imagine having multiple. Kids are also like a lottery, you never know what you're going to get (no offense). Either you win the genetic lottery and have the smartest, talented, well behaved, good looking kid, or your kid comes out with all kinds of behavioral or physical problems. It really is something you have to think about and be ready for imho.

I have two kids, I love them unconditionally, and I’m happy with my life. Having kids is not for the faint of heart. When they’re little, you never get a break, EVER, but most of the time you don’t mind. A lot of things you used to think are important turn out not to be. It changes your whole life.

There are a lot of people who shouldn’t have kids though. If you aren’t willing to put in the time and effort to raise them, don’t have kids. If your marriage isn’t rock solid, don’t have kids.

To be brutally honest, no you are not really missing out. Kids take up your time, make a mess and are costly. Then when they go to school you will constantly be at odds with them over homework and getting uo and leaving for school on time.

Once they are teenagers it only gets worst as they get mouthy and overly emotional and basically, you cant wait for them to just get the hell out of the house.

So its an entire 18 plus years of aggravation , expense and lack of gratitude for any sacrifice that you made for them.

keep in mind that I actually enjoy my kids and went through this so your results may vary but probably not by much.

I tend to be philosophical when it comes to children. As much as I'd like to be, I'm not particularly religious. Therefore, I don't see any point to creating a sentient being that will ultimately suffer and die for no reason, other than to search for a meaning to life that does not exist. In fact, because I possess this point of view, for me to create a child would be one of the most evil, despicable acts I could ever commit as another poor soul who found himself unlucky enough to be rudely shoved out into existence, thereby perpetuating this awful cycle.
