If social media was popular when gay zyzz was around

Can you imagine how fukn filthy rich and famous he’d be? So many fitness personas on IG, FB etc that have made good $ off of it and have became well known. Would he have been the most popular fitness person around if he were still alive?

Off forums and little bit of YouTube. IG is a game changer nowadays for fitness people. Plus he wasn’t into the YouTube game as deep as most of these fitness people. What I’m saying is he was pretty much equally as famous as the people nowadays with way less platforms used and what not. He had maybe 10 vids on YouTube vs like hundreds from people like Connor, calum, Bradley , Simeon etc

wouldve crushed it. its really funny bcuz when zyzz passed, i was apart of a forum called grasscity. i remember reading a lot of threads about some guy who took too much creatine and died. so much hate. took me awhile to realize it was zyzz

staunch rule the mods enacted 6 years ago, because there really were too many zyzz threads. But now he's mentioned as much as any other big fitness youtuber.

Took them way longer to start fixing the LDAR and FA problem though

If I recall they did it following his death bc so many people actually gave a chit about him here. I don’t see an issue in a thread every once in awhile about him.

He'd be one of the biggest fitness youtubers, he died in aug 2011 just before youtube fitness started becoming a thing.

Zyzz Crew.



Zyzz threads aren't as posted as much anymore so I've noticed mods tend to let them go when posted these days, but yeah, there was a zyzz crackdown back in the day. It's crazy how his popularity peaked a ton when he first died and you had zyzz wannabes and now he's pretty much forgotten. Nobody other than "OGs" seem to know about him, but he pretty much set up the whole template for everyone who is a "fitness youtuber" these days.

No, there were some jealous Mods who just liked to hate on Zyzz. He wasn't the only one though, there was a massive purge of interesting posters during that time, which left this place full of FAs and oldcels.
