Such is life

In life, it is who you know, and for women social connections come almost by default. Many will align with them solely based off their looks and do what they can to assist them in moving up the ladder.
As a man if you're not using every weekend to go out, and meet new people, don't be surprised if you get passed up for a job by a female with a vast social network across many different platforms. You never know who may end up being able to help you later down the road. Life is a popularity contest, and whoever says it ends at high school is deluding themselves.
I used to look at those going out every weekend and have a feeling of superiority that I spent the weekend studying, lifting, and getting my sleep. That all that time out there was just for the moment, and that it'd catch up to them in time. It turns out it wasn't just a yolo lifestyle, it was an investment, and also the building of memories. The only caveat is you can't allow yourself to get carried away with the drinking.

Either that or you may have some social impairment.
Meeting new people isn't hard, making good connections doesn't require going out to bars etc.
LMFAO at good connections being out on weekends like you claim.
I know a girl who was making in excess of $200K yearly at 20 years old, smoking hot BTW, she went out twice a month.
Don't get me wrong some of my friends do go out regularly on weekends but all things considered I have a relatively small circle of friends/associates, and quite a few I'd consider successful and they don't party every single weekend.
It's probably more about being a good judge of character and if you deem a person a loser cut them off ASAP and move on (srs, that was the toughest one for me).

I don't see the appeal of getting drunk to the point you can't remember what happened. Rather spend it with family camping.
