Apparently you can't tell someone that wanting to adopt children with disabilities will harm the lifestyles of your other children.

Was a hypothetical for when she was older, but she wanted to have a child in her 30's and adopt a child with severe autism around the same point.

she liked her alone time way too much. got into a big fight about moving in together. asked her if all we could afford was a small one bedroom apartment would she be able to live with me even though it meant her alone time would be compromised. she said she honestly wouldn't be able to so knew right there it wasn't going to work and ended it.

I ignored lots of red flags and glossed over personality clashes for too long. We dated for about 2 years and the last 11-12 months I was pretty sure I didn't want to be with her anymore. She's extremely selfish and that would work fine she was with someone more similar to her but it drove a wedge between us. I just got sick of waiting for things to change despite knowing they wouldn't. Told her it's over while I was out of town for Thanksgiving (wanted to wait and do it in person but she was being a dick to me on the phone). Moved out as soon as I got back into town.

Dun goofed and hooked up with her a couple days ago though.

Almost 3 years with the last ex. He moved Jan 2017 for his career. Did long distance for 7-8 months. I was supposed to move to him eventually. I got promoted. Pushed back the moving thing another 6 months bc I think itโ€™s tactless to leave a company that is so willing to develop me that way. We had our โ€œadultโ€ conversation and ended it. He did call me back up a month or two after that and said he felt like I didnโ€™t put enough effort into the relationship, that he loved me, etc and I never said it back or willing to take the next step.

So distance + I got cold feet.
