The solution to school shootings may lay in more guns, not less guns

If every student is allowed to carry a gun on them for self defense, a school shooters rampage wouldn't last more than a few seconds until he himself has been wiped out by fellow students that have been permitted to shoot a school shooter on sight policies. The kids are completely defenseless in all of these scenarios, which isn't right. Also would be good for the economy to sell a slew of new guns. Thoughts?
