How do people come up with this stuff? Throwing acid onto people's faces? It takes a true scum to do that. They should be flayed alive. Read an article saying some "kid" (was 17 years old) got 3 years in jail for throwing acid into a crowd.

I can't imagine life after an acid attack. Poor victims. They also seem to target innocent people or just randoms. Never going to visit the UK again unless I'm wearing one of those face shields.

Also shows how bad people will find a way. Ban guns and they use knives, ban knives and they use acid.

I rather much get shot dead instantly than get bled out with stab wounds or have my face literally melted off my skull. Holy chit. Just the fact that there is a market for anti-acid face shields should be alarming to everyone in the UK.

Won't say that UK is safer than US, but the news try to manipulate the viewers. Those attacks happen in places where regular/normal people don't live, but only gangs, addicts and poverty minorities who commit crimes and have drinking problems. It is the same as gangs killing each other in any other country, not with guns, but with acid. The article implies that some losers walk on the high class/rich parts of the London where you pay 20 pounds for a coffee and Jamal sprays acid. It's not true, you need to visit UK to make a valid opinion, those people live in ghetto places where even poverty families don't live if they are healthy in terms of no addiction, going to work, etc. It's only neighbourhoods full of HIV crew and junkies, not even the police goes there and personally I think it's better to leave them alone.

The west is no longer safe, yeah, ok, thank you for your amazing contribution.

Acid attacks are disgusting and the charges should be way more severe. You physically and mentally damage someone forever and ruin their life, I'd probably choose to rather die from a stab attack than go blind, disfigured from some chav beta throwing a dixie cup full of battery acid on me..

2017 had 465 acid attacks in London alone

2017 had 9 school shootings in the entire US, and 4 of those were without casualties

Murder rate is significantly higher in US than the UK, yet the violent crime rate in the UK is significantly higher than in the US.

I am willing to go out on a whim and say that this is because of excessive drinking and lack of a real deterrent (sentencing is pathetic & no citizen you attack is going to be armed).
