Divorced after paying off wife's school loans

Man lands on the moon...makes me never want to get married
Dear Moneyist,

Before I married my wife two years ago, she had huge amounts of debt to her name, including large amounts of student loans. After we married, we diligently almost paid everything off, helped by my salary being three times that of my wife.

She recently asked for a divorce, saying she was taking the house and my retirement.

I imagine the sort of men who fall victim to this scam (money, green card etc) marry the first woman who shows them any kind of attention. I still feel bad for em for having to learn the hard way.

i think they know deep down what their partner is up to but are so desperate for "love" and feelings similar that they choose to ignore it

i work hard for my money, it's mine, no one else's , i decide what gets done with it

marriage should be about love and nothing more

sadly, it isn't

2 options

alone , lonely , with everything you've earned

alone , lonely , fkn screwed over and broke

f that

poosy just isn't that important

now a friend that won't stab you in the back? i'd love to find that, i'd be a much happier man

“if you had a home before you married, for instance, you will walk away with that.

judges don’t instruct one party to pay the other alimony if they’ve been married for fewer than 10 years. There are exceptions to this rule — if there is a minor child involved, whether there’s been domestic abuse and/or whether the partner in question has a disability — but it’s unlikely that a judge will tell you to pay your wife alimony. So whatever result you do get, from a financial perspective you will be free and clear.”
Any forced redistribution of wealth after divorce is immoral and unjustifiable. Doesn't matter how many years it is. Takes a certain type of mental midget to defend alimony in 2018.

Not always.
Non-marital property can become marital property by co-mingling it.[10] For instance, putting non-marital money into a joint account with marital proceeds will likely make it marital.[11] Additionally, if non-marital proceeds are used to pay marital expenses, they can become marital.[12]
If they just renovated the house for example, it could become marital property. Or she could've insisted they both put their names on the contract. If he agreed to pay for her student debt with his money, then he perfectly could've made her a co-owner, because they were a family now, and it was only fair that they both owned the house.

100% avoidable.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

And the court will side with the defenseless woman and rape the man almost every time. Women have options. Men have responsibilities.

Sometimes don't understand how women have the patience to fuk and pretend like you like a guy upon years just for the sake of scam and their own benefit

I wouldn't be able to put up with somebody that long if I had no emotional connection with them, let alone being attracted.

Out marriage laws are fuked. I still dont understand the logic behind 'no fault' during divorces. How can a person cheat on their spouse and still have a right to their spouses assets. It makes no sense from moral point of view.
