Talk me out of this Lamborghini Gallardo..
https://www.pistonheads.com/classifi...llardo/8670452
48k GBP? Never seen one near that price. It's LHD and I'm in the uk so would expect it to be a little cheaper but even so..
There HAS to be something wrong with it any ideas? Out of interest, what would you budget for a pre 08 gallardo annually, including sensible depreciation? Insurance isn't much as would be a weekend car, I'm thinking it shouldn't be much more than 15k USD? What reckon?

I would find an expert on these cars and take him with you to the viewing. If there is something wrong with it he will most likely find it.

If you're gonna buy such cars and you're worried about fuel maintenance.. Then it's not for you.
If you're worth 60k you don't go and buy a 55k car.
Wake up

What is GBP, Good Boy Points?
Also you're probably going to need like 15k a year for service and maintenance. Heard the clutch only lasts maybe a 1500 miles max and it's like 5k to have it replaced.

My logic is, what's a weekend car worth to me, per week. I'm throwing out a number, about 300$? If that works for a gallardo, that's what I'd have, it's really the only car at that price that has presence while still being somewhat useable.
I'm aware that would cover a lot of Porsches as well, but apart from the GT4 they don't do it for me. Just not head turning cars, far too common.

"Next up is the Lamborghini line which is divided into two segments, the Gallardo and the Murcielago. Both amazing machines are quite expensive to maintain and the Lamborghini cost of ownership is not be taken lightly. The Murcielago will run you about $2000 for an oil change, $4000 for plugs and the best part $12000 for an E-Gear Clutch. The Gallardo on the other hand is more docile and similar to the Ferrari 360 Modena at just $400 for an oil change, $2000 for plugs and finally about $3500 for an E-Gear clutch. The Lamborghini maintenance ranges heavily based on the line you select and should not be taken lightly as the cost of new transmission could cost you $50,000 if a replacement is needed and lets not even talk about the engine failing. Despite using Audi based parts, Lamborghini does a great job at making you pay big bucks for parts so don’t take a chance. "
