If someone is banging hard on your apartment door like they are trying to break in

What are you supposed to do?

I have to leave for work in a few hours but someone just came in and was banging on all the apartment doors and yelling something. I couldn't understand what they were yelling but when they got to my door it scared the shet out of me. It sounded like they were trying to break it down. They left and came back again a few minutes later and they were doing it again. Banging hard on all the doors. I have no idea who it was. I would never beat on someone's door like that unless they owed me a lot of money or something. Im sitting here on my couch with a kitchen knife next to me. My heart has calmed down but now I feel real sick. I know it sounds like I'm being a bish but it really scared me tbh. What am I supposed to do now? I'm scared to leave. What if they break in after I leave ?

Best thing to do - call the cops. I'm sure your neighbors have already done so. But I wouldn't leave the apartment until cops show up and deal with whoever is doing that.

It's happened to me several times. It's because I had someone was legit trying to get into my house. Broke down my door a couple times before I finally moved away. If YOU'RE scared, imagine being a female living alone and that chit is happening to you.

That's not good. Why did they break in? Did they have the wrong house or were they trying to rob you? Things like this make me realize how much I need to get a piece for defending myself. All I have is a hatchet and knives. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. Call the cops? The person isn't here anymore that I know. If they come in here I'm assuming they are going to harm me.

There is only one door. I'm in a small apartment. No balcony or porch or anything. I don't think I'm going to work. I don't feel well. I can't do this anymore. I need to get away from people. Happened to me once. I'm on the bottom floor of my complex and I have my bed besides my window. I was working a later shift so I was taking a nap midday before work, when suddenly I hear someone banging on the window. It stopped then they started banging again. I yell out"WHAT THE PHUCK DO YOU WANT!?"I wasn't scared, I was more upset that he woke me up. The guy on the other end quietly said, "oops sorry bro" and just left.

The best way to circumvent this is to bust your ass in school, and get a good job so you can live in a richer/quieter neighborhood (or a gated community). In the mean time make sure when you pick your apartment you choose something on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

I looked out my window and my truck is moved from the spot I parked it in last night to across the street and in front of the building diagonal from my building.
