Wealthy Miscers Share Any Advice - Tired of Rat Race
Full disclosure, I'm currently at $90k salary, but work only 40 hours per week. Six times per year I am on call for a week. Also I live in Kansas City, KS, so the salary is okay in my area.
Having said that I'm done being 'ok.'. I want to be in the $300k range at the very least (net). I know there are some very well off bros here and am hoping they would share any tips or advice. Of course not asking for any secrets that would create competition for anyone, but any advice is very much appreciated.
Currently I'm a network engineer that works from home, which is very nice, but like I said I'm done being a small cog.

Would love to consistently hit £500K+ / Year doing something I love, but it seems (not always, but a lot of the time) in order to hit the big bucks, you need to take on a ton more responsibilities (warehouses, staff, then pay your staff each month, pensions for them, healthcare for them, dealing with bull**** dramas, lazy staff members, pulling sickies) and its a ton more stress.
I think thats why im happier hitting the lower figures, when its only my fiancee and I on the payroll and if I dont wanna work one day - then I dont etc. Dont have to answer to anyone or deal with anyone other than clients.
I think for me, the best bet would be to carry on what im doing - but reinvest the profits I make into a new company / startup. That would be the quickest/most straight forward way for me to hit £500K+ / year with minimal effort/time

Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit softly.

The key is to build up a sizable savings amount (like $100,000). You then use this to invest. Leverage if you have high confidence in which way an investment will move over your defined investment time horizon. You make money by letting your money work. The harder you make your money work, the more money you make. It's very much like a snowball rolling down a mountain side. However, you need to stay on top of market developments especially in this era of fake news and easy to scare investors.

Lateral movements. You need to switch employers and with that comes a raise. Leverage any better offers with a new company to make your current employment even better. Go wherever the money is. After two or three moves within a 4 to 6 year period you'll be making significantly more...not quite 300k but it's not unrealistic for you to be > 150k.

There's is no "easy way to get money" unless you get a small million dollar loan from your dad. Live frugal, save money, invest, repeat. If u have the balls, startup your own business but get ready for the roller coaster of emotions/stress/failures.
