Feel lost/without purpose
I’m 31. Live in a metropolitan area with a lot of young professionals (DC) and have a good group of friends/associates and family (most of my family I don’t see often as they live out of town)
I have a good job where I make over $100k(medical device sales). I’m very good at this, and it’s not overly stressful. It’s a great career that many people are trying to get into. But it’s not fulfilling at all to me.
I’m trying to figure out what I’m passionate about, but nothing strikes me. I’m still single with no kids, most of my friends are engaged/married with kids. I feel a void right now, even though I feel like I should be happy with what I have considering there are many people less fortunate.
Can anyone here relate and/or offer up some suggestions ? Thanks in advance.

I think a lot of people feel the same way at that age. I feel that way also. I am going out of my way to find something I can really dive into because I am really not crazy passionate about anything.

Shake up your life a bit OP. It sounds like you've become too accustomed to the same routine
Try to do at least one new thing every day outside of your normal routine, it doesn't have to be big

When life is going really well for me, I tend to get complacent. Inevitably I engage in some self-destructive behavior, and fuk my chit up. Then I have to work to dig out of that hole and I appreciate everything I have again until become complacent again...

It's difficult, OP. I've had plenty of crises (plural?) and I'm only 32. Very nihilistic view but I just say try and enjoy every day. It is difficult when you feel like you don't have a purpose (I certainly don't feel I do). My biggest problem has always been finding the right career and I've spent my whole life searching for it. Gets me down thinking about my potential yet it's not being realised for whatever reason.
I think you just gotta work to survive comfortably and then enjoy your free time outside of work with hobbies etc.
Like someone else said, shake it up a little.

Aside from lifting, I like to read nonfiction, Muay Thai/boxing, traveling, meditating, etc.

Someone said it above, I'll echo it: when you realize there is no end goal to what you're doing, you can start finding happiness. Learning is all about discovering something new each time. Ever hear a master chess player, martial artist or canvas painter claim they know everything? No, because a master admittedly is a student for life and enjoys the experience of developing their skills and craft. Discover how to adapt to enjoy learning a new environment, there are literally infinite possibilities once you decide you no longer want to live inside your comfort zone.
