What are some telltale signs of a <$100k income?

I will start.

Beat up Honda civic swerving in and out of traffic since they likely have nothing to lose.

Trailer ownership (sometimes multiple)

Smoking cigarettes.

Should specify 100k USD

The most broke people i know do anything they can to appear rich. Most rich people i know are blue collar business owners. I know one guy who owns a fleet of semi trucks and is a multi millionaire. Dude still wrenches on the trucks every day and wears greasy torn up clothes.

Broke people do the following:

Buy a house in a neighborhood they can't afford
Lease a 3 series BMW....or really any new car. Rich people drive used cars, or buy new and drive them until they are scrap
Send their kids to "private school"
Go on beach vacations every year because they "deserve it"
Have multiple kids that they can't afford and put them in ever sport imaginable

Wrong.

I own a 98 Honda Civic with ~280k miles....not my only car, but it's a fantastic beater to drive around and not worry if somebody door dings / steals it.

Cigarettes......meh, that's kind of a US thing.

How about, shopping at WalMart

Op, you are a truly sad individual. If I had your mentality I would look at my past and do my best to determine what made me this way.

Maybe you were abused or molested as a child. Probably by one of your parents. Get some help op.

If you think a fulfilling life is made by leasing a car and worrying about how to pay your mortgage that's cool I guess.

I think it's more about having slightly more than I need, doing what I want and not worrying about money at all.
