Top Harvard scientist claims space rock Oumuamua is most likely of alien origin.

Let's hear all the misc scholars and broscientists argue against this dude.

I'll wait..

And Loeb has noticed several bizarre things about the interstellar object. Firstly, it travels at speeds up to 196,000 mph, but accelerates in ways that can’t be explained in a conventional way.

Baffled scientists have tried to pin the acceleration on ice in the object evaporating and propelling it along.

Loeb added: “We don’t see the telltale signatures of cometary tail.”

Loeb and his fellow researcher Shmuel Bialy have found that rather than cigar-shaped, Oumuamua likely has a “pancake-like geometry”. Their theory is that Oumuamua got its boost in speed due to “light from the sun” which works like “wind bouncing off a sail on a sailboat”. He added: “So we checked that and found that you need the thickness of the object to be less than a millimetre in order for that to work.

Hurr Fermi Paradox, hurr there are planets similar to earth

I'm not saying it's impossible that aliens exist, but arguing that there must be aliens with only "we exist" and "there are many planets similar to earth" as your premises is retarded.

or they planted us here as an experiment to see how we develop society, monuments, structures, politics, and religion.

I always wondered if religion came around as soon as a collective society began to think about death, the afterlife, and unknown when they realized what death was seeing one another perish.

so basically we are their redheaded stepchild haha

I for one will bow to our alienbrah overlords if they ever visit Earth

religion probably came in as soon as small societies were formed, perhaps for the purpose of control, justify certain actions, power, explanation of phenomena, and perhaps act as cope and to give people a purpose for existing as well as hope. some of the ancient text, i.e mesopotamia and their views/stories of gods, you would swear some of the gods are megalomaniacs and narcissists lol and some of the stuff looking at it now is pretty ridiculous, but are still interesting reads and it really shaped their lives.

Religion came about because most people can't fathom the idea that they aren't special and this is all there is. Makes them feel nice and fuzzy inside.

People thought thunder and lightning came from the gods too. People in stone age / dark ages didn't have much scientific knowledge so it's only logical that they contributed something they didn't understand to the gods / superstition.

If somehow mankind was able to find absolute scientific proof for the origin of the universe and all there is out there, then there would be no more god/religion either.
