Why do you think people believe big foot exist?

I have always been amazed by people who believe in crack pot retarded conspiracy theories and chit.

Big foot is definitely up there.

What do you think makes people believe in these sort of things?

sure, there is so much about the world and our universe that we don't understand or even know of, but to believe in "Bigfoot" and actively go on hunts in the backwoods armed with mace, guns, etc is just foolish and pointless.

It's like that Tom Delonge guy who left his rockin' successful band to search for "aliens" ... he's just being used, like a pawn in a greater game funded by the government, CIA, area 51, etc. Same thing can be said for those backwater hillbillies running around looking for Bigfoot.

Discovery channel is just making a buck off of their stupidity in the filming process. It's all entertainment for most people, but those who actually search and dedicate their lives to that nonsense are losers.

Welp, the animal did exist alongside humans and there's a fuk load of unexplored wilderness out there. Not to mention all the sightings. Maybe a tiny portion may be legit? Who knows... Point is its not totally outside the realm of possibility.

I don’t know about Bigfoot existing per se but having spent 34 years living in what most people would call “the wild” ive definitely encountered things I can’t explain by any logical reasonin. I’m not superstitious, I’m not religious, I believe almost every occurrence on earth can be rationally explained, almost being the key words. The natives here have stories of demon like creatures called wanagis and have stories of a creature simply called tall man. Basic spiritual phenomena is considered business as usual here and even as skeptical as I am of all things of that nature there are simply things I can’t grasp.

Well I didn't say sightings were the only thing, that would be absurd.

Aliens (advanced) won't exist in our solar system so they would at least be many light years away. This means it may take thousands of generations to fly to earth. What's the point in making such an insane journey just to see some poverty species on our planet?

Bigfoot (Gigantopithecus) actually lived on earth alongside humans, thus as I said before, the thought of remote numbers living in the wild isn't as far-fetched.

If it does exist, then it simply is nothing more than an undiscovered species of primates.

Also the native americans talked about bigfoot. A master of the forest that is not to be disturbed, but is always watching you. Their depictions of bigfoot is the exact same as the depictions we get these days.
