A.) If I was a patient:
I'd assume he passed the proper vetting process and most likely wouldn't see said tattoos as having visible ones would likely have to be covered, given mandated hospital guidelines.
B.) If I was a board member involved in the vetting/hiring of doctors:
If the doctor came in with visible tattoos, and did not cover them? No. I would choose a doctor with equal or greater credentials without visible tattoos.
Logic:
• This isn't high school... we don't need a crusader or someone who makes brash decisions with pseudo-romanticed notions of raging against the system. Grow up.
• Visible tattoos are viewed in less regard by society and especially professionals, this is just the way it is. If you STILL need to have visible tattoos you thrive off the drama of it... or having pictures on your skin is more important than your career.
• You made the choice to get the work done... not society. Its no ones prerogative to cater to you. if you don't like how society views tattoos, and don't want your future prospects diminished, be responsible and don't get them. NEVER be the "I'm judgeeeeddd society is unfairrr" type... your resume will go directly into the trash.

I had a check-up with a general physician that had an arm sleeve. I feel as though it is becoming more acceptable in certain cities and our culture. Frankly I never got a tattoo because of the negative stereotypes associated w/ them but I know plenty of folks with them. I tend to withhold my judgement of tatted up folks nowadays even though I do harbor some personal prejudices towards people with them.

Dont have anything against tattoos. Some of them look great BUT I question the judgment of any man that allows a degenerate to doodle "art" on them permanently...

Same applies to lawyers. Only way I'm going to be seeing a lawyer's tattoos is if 1) they aren't wearing a full suit or (2) they have tattoos on their hands, neck, or face. Both say they are incompetent and unprofessional to me. Will go to their competitor next door/10.

Honestly anyone with tattoos on them I kind of believe they make poor decisions, have bad taste, and are impulsive. I'd take a non tatted anything over a tatted anything except maybe as back up in a street fight, or a drug dealer.

Im in law school currently and have two tattoos. They are coverable, inoffensive and I got them years before I applied for school. In before the BAR has issues with it.
