Share your weird compliment stories.
So I cashiering a liquor store recently and customer says "bruh, what do you, friggin eat the weights or what?". I respond with "I have a squat rack in my garage gym. Small banter ensued and the purchase was completed.
BTW not tryna humble brage, just wondering why I always I feel like I look dyel, but I do get a lot of compliments on my physique despite that; part of it might be few "lifters" in my city are doing bro splits. I'll share stats below but feel free to share you opinions and stories. Thanks for reading.
Stats
5'7.5" 178lbs at 19%bf
1 year consistent lifting plus high school sports and whatever muscle I have from that. Genetically I have wide shoulders and my traps/lats respond pretty well to training cosmetically speaking. My arms are friggin 13.5in though.
Best Lifts
Bench, paused with medium grip 205x4, 200 5x5
Chinup 3x5 w 52.5lb, 2.75 reps w 85 two months ago
Ohp 150 1RM four months ago, 140lb for 5x5 last month before deloading for cut.
Squat 285 for 5x5
Power Clean 165 for 5x3
110lb Barbell curl, 105 strict curl

Old dude in a public restroom told me "you won't have a stream like that when you're 60." Dunno if it was meant to be a compliment but was bizarre for sure. Context was: line in the men's room, had to piss in a toilet vs urinal, apparently the stream was noticeably loud.

@MuzzieChik786 i heard a couple of my female coworkers comparing each other thighs (a lot of people in my workplace like to exercise), according to porn movie logic they should've started doing it right then and there. That and some men try very hard to say profound things to women, it just makes us feel like "you understand how we feel deep down inside"; some of those men truly are dying inside because they're attracted to the girl but most just wanna smash. I told a lot of my coworkers that I thought they were cute/adorable, they said thanks but I told one she's really pretty and I got a written and verbal warning by my store's manager.

Years ago a local newspaper did an article on me/female bodybuilding. After it came out random people would constantly stop when I was out asking me if I was the girl in the paper? The weirdest part was my husband went to work one night and saw my pictures from the paper hanging in random inmate cells. He works at a prison.

Asked a guy for spot on bench the other day. Wanted to see how many 225s i could get. He asked what my max was and he guessed 405. Was later doing pause reps and almost had to dump 225. So he probably thinks less now.

I get a lot of "if you lose any more weight, you'll disappear" at work. Which isn't really a compliment, but people seem to think it is.
