A good example of what the "natty limit" looks like at low bf%

I see lots of threads on here with people arguing about what the natty limit looks like. Some people here are still really deluded and keep posting pictures of fitness models that are obviously on the gear. And that's alright, I used to be deluded as well. But years of experience will open your eyes to what the ceiling actually looks like for someone who is completely natural.

Here is a great example of what the 'natty limit' would look like for a natural athlete with very low, year-round body fat.

Used to train at this dude's gym like a decade ago for a bit and just saw him again after this amount of time. He wasn't always this shredded. He's put in a lot of work and built a business that helps lots of people.

He reminds me a bit of our own poster here Devils with his intense level of conditioning.

Judging by memory and pics, he looks to be around 5'7-5'8, maybe 140-155 pounds. That's the natty limit for someone his size. If you're above 6 foot, of course that will change.

Stop deluding yourselves into thinking you can ever achieve 18 inch guns at 8%bf at this size if you're not on the gear. It'll make your foray into the fitness lifestyle a much smoother one if you level your expectations. This dude looks fantastic. I think our ideals of muscularity have all been dwarfed by being incessantly bombarded by pictures of hyper-muscular men that are on so much gear it could make a horse drop dead. Yeah, I'm calling you out directly Mr. Mike "Natural for life" O'Hearn.

"natural"

I really don't think that's the natty limit brah, I've seen calisthenics guys look much much better than that with less than 2 years of training.

I think he could probably add a few pounds of mass. That said, he's extremely lean, so his hormones may not be 100% on point right now.

If that's natty limit I'm not disappointed at all, dude has a nice physique (no homo) and personally I don't want to get too big, I want a good balance between strength/aesthetics and speed and being light on my feet too.

I agree with this. A few pounds of mass for sure, depending on his genetic body type. I'm near the end of my cut and sitting at 172 and one of my buddies, who is my height, competed at 135 a few years ago. I'd never go through what he did to win that comp.

And perhaps my initial message should be addended to, "this is the natty limit for 99% of those who lift. There's potential to go further, but 99% will not be able to attain that level."

The above is myself included.

That guy is too lean. He could easily add quite a bit of muscle with not much fat and look way better. The average natty who has taken lifting/nutrition somewhat seriously for the last five years looks way better than him. Getting that shredded naturally is pretty dumb.

I picked his physique due to his leanness year round. This is the level of conditioning you see on a lot of these gargantuan fitness models, which are obviously not natural. If your goal is to get shredded like this and you want to be like that year-round, you can't delude yourself into thinking you can be much more muscular than that.

And I agree, I don't think I'd want to be that shredded year-round as a natural. Depending on your genetics, I can't imagine that feeling good. I'd much rather sit around the 10-12% mark, which makes you look fuller and more muscular.

HAHAHA good one OP, but who was pecs? I can't seem to find them anywahr.

As someone else alluded to, maybe that's the natty limit if you do nothing but calisthenics and maybe some crossfit.

Brah you can’t post pics of Mike O Hearn as an example of what juicers look like. Most people on gear look worse than the guy you posted in OP, so you really can’t tell

He'd be much fuller at a higher bf%, OP is correct because the majority of natties would look similar if they cut to sub 10%.

This is what I meant. What I'm saying is that, if you want to achieve that level of conditioning as a natural bodybuilder, don't expect this big full physique. As a natural, you'll look much more 'muscular' at a higher level of body fat, somewhere around 10% or so. Expecting to be 185lbs, 5'10 at 7% body fat with massive pecs and 18 inch arms is pure delusion.

Tbh I am pretty happy with my physique and understand that I likely will not ever go further than my current state without the help of extra curricular supplements

But I feel like being Natty is best done without being that lean. It looks terrible, and you look small with your shirt on. Happy medium for me is around 10-12% because I really have to play with nutrition/carb cycle to get a fullness that I want on beach days in the summer when below 10%

At sub 10% bf? Possible, but pretty unlikely, even guys with great genetics tend to look flat when they're super lean as a natty.

Lmao I highly doubt that

Or at least, this could be incredibly subjective based on what you think "better" actually looks like

If you do Instagram- "natty" doses of vitamin-t and maybe some mild pills, you would play that much russian roulette, especially if you are 30-35 or older.
