They jumped the shark here. Holy crap.
TBH it's too bad. They make really nice products. I'd much rather use Mac OS at home than anything else, but no way I'm paying the $3k a properly built Mac Pro costs. No way I'd buy this when you can get an 8k Dell for half the price.
Ironically phones are the only space they're playing it with reasonable pricing.

Let's be fair, this is a monitor aimed at professionals and not the average desktop user. The price isn't even that bad considering the specs so it's probably a good HDR mastering monitor for smaller studios.

This is aimed for creative professionals, not ordinary users. They are competing with people who use $40k+ Sony reference monitors

Keep buying their overpriced garbage while overseas competitors are being suppressed because they are outselling and better. Keep telling anyone objecting that they "are poor". Just lol, passive cash givers enable this bullsh*t from corporations. The same with game or any other tech industry. This is why you want to breed competition and not have MS/google/blue tooth etc are all being influenced by government in shutting down other companies from Asia etc.
Just lol @ any idiot who still goes out and buys both. I don't care if you're a billionaire, a con is a con.

You have to understand that the new Mac Pro and its accompanying screen is not aimed at plebs like us,
do you really think that pro photographers who work with $30000+ Hasselblad camera's won't buy this because it is ''too expensive''? Or film studios working on million dollar projects? Scientists cracking the world's most important problems via brute calculating force?
It is not a consumer device, I find it highly unlikely that anyone on the misc would need this kind of computer power.
