people in the comments keep saying for "retention", like once the knife-dude got too close the officer purposefully holstered his weapon so the knife-dude couldn't turn into gun-dude.

not sure why he didn't just shoot him before he got too close.
that situation got way too close to being deadly for one of the officers.

This is the police we’re talking about though so. Most of them are terrible marksmen. The study on the NYPD showed they only hit their target 17 percent of the time so I guess it is good.


I see guys at the range that can shoot a 4 inch group at 30 yards with a pistol.
