The second amendment is for the citizenry to protect itself against a tyrannical government. The Founding Fathers weren't stupid. That being said I'm not a gun guy and if there was a hypothetical ban on guns (good luck collecting the 300+ million in the U.S. from everyone from rural folk to people in cities) it would not effect my life at all.
