Median home value in Denver is $422,400

How do you $50k per year wage slaves afford it?? Also, a $422k house in Denver is junk FYI.

Correct. $400k will get you a 100yr old piece of chit house in Denver. $50k wage slaves can not afford a house. They are stuck renting, unfortunately.

.... and? All those 50k a year wage slaves who owned in Denver before the millennials moved in are profiting fabulously. You’re not entitled to owning property, if you really want to own move someplace cheaper or make more money

Newsflash 50k is a working class wage in any city and working class can't usually afford to buy a home

I make 100+k in San Francisco and can barely afford a 2 bedroom apartment let alone save for a home here.. even chitty 1bd condos go for a million minimum if you want a small house in a decent neighborhood you're looking at 1.5m for something old and 2 mill for something updated. Home ownership is a joke in Urban areas for anyone but the upper class

Yeah . . . real estate here is insane, but it's been that way for awhile now. Bought ours for $360,000 in 2006. Zillow has it now for $587,000 (5 bdrm / 3,300 sq ft.). Paid it off a few years ago, so I'm not unhappy about the equity build.

Down here near co springs avg is in the mid 300s. I paid 196, owe 180, and it's worth 325.

Pro tip: it's a bubble srs

10x median income for a chitbox house is NOT sustainable, so either wages are going way up soon (ow my sides) or property values are set to take a dump

It's like Californian refugees moving to other cities drive up the housing market.

My city went up nearly 200k average since 2013 thanks to the economic migrants all moving here.

I'm sweet, we are CA refugees who sold our little CA house for a mil and bought a giant mcmansion when we moved here

Unfortunately we bought at the height of the market, after our old house going up 100k a year it feels bad to make zero money on real estate

Its hot as fukk here tbh so maybe look for another state, also it's going to flip blue in a few years and become a high tax chithole with terrible weather - at which point why bother even leaving CA

Not in Colorado. Tons of fukin people move here literally every. fukking. day. That coupled with low interest rates literally means it will keep going up significantly for the foreseeable future. Its gonna suck for people who own a lot of houses if/when interest rates ever go back to 4-5%.

Thats not that bad, pretty average in the UK with a mortgage. Not ****ting on US brahs, but you dont know how good you have it when it comes to housing. According to statistics, you have one of the best wage to house price ratios in the world aka, you got higher avg. wages and cheap houses compared to most in even western countries.

Yeah Colorado and Washington are pretty much California 2.0 now. Texas and Arizona will be soon. They're like an infection, slowly spreading to neighboring states.

Don't be fooled. It's like Australia here. Tons of cheap places in the middle of nothing, but most people live on either coast where it's expensive as fukk.

Those people leaving can’t afford to live there. How do you think they’re the ones jacking up prices? The true answer is foreign money buying **** up to find a place to shield their money.

Well, fair enough could be wrong im just going off statistics. I just remember when miscers used to post their houses and they'd be like 100k usd, when youd get the same over here if your lucky for 300k lol.

For instance, stats like this,https://www.numbeo.com/property-inve...by_country.jsp

US is second in world for house price to rent ratio, UK is number 29 next to Greece lol.

It probably helps when the USA is a huge country. UK is a overpopulated mess.

Yeah is it all the foreign money jacking up prices there? The price for even a tiny little house in London blows my mind, and when you walk around, you'd think you're in the middle of Riyadh.

In central London yeah, but its honestly expensive all over be it in the south east or midlands. Unless you live up north in like a old mining town good luck finding anywhere thats not a box for cheap.

I live outside London, technically not the southeast but close. Here is what the prices are for houses nearby.

Average wage in that County- £25k
