I am half black and racist stuff makes me laugh instead of get mad..

When someone says KFC, Kool aid, Watermelon etc... It doesn't phase me one bit.

If a crazy lady or guy calls me the n word it wouldn't bother me one bit. I would reply with "yes mam, how may I help you" etc..

is this normal?

the thing with kids who complain about muh racisms is that deep down they want to be white/be accepted by white people, that's why stuff like the op triggers them b-b-but i'm just want you guys to accept me why are you othering me like this... hmmphh

I can't imagine getting mad at people because they make fun of my race / call me a slur. I also can't imagine not laughing at jokes / stereotypes. Sounds like you aren't a beta bish OP, that's good

One example I have is at work the surgeons and nurses always eat together. We like to play around a lot and one time there was a black female student following one of the nurses.

One of the nurses said a joke about fried chicken because all black people love fried chicken and the black girl brought some for lunch.

She got really upset and I was just laughing about it and said I love fried chicken, koolaid, watermelon etc... and she got even more serious and I just said "Hey we all like fried chicken and it shouldn't bother you that way, we are all friends here" etc...

You and I agree on something for a change. Getting upset over someone because they called you a word gives them power over you, and a truly malicious person would seize that opportunity to really get at you.

I think we agree on plenty of stuff you just took all the Lebron stuff too hard IMO

Good attitude op. Best to laugh and move on, or be offended and move on. Moving on is what a lot of younger people are incapable of lately. I find when blacks do nerdy white people voices it's hilarious. I laugh a lot at natives getting made fun of on South Park or American Dad too. Doesn't offend me and even in some alternate universe if it did, who cares.

Really the only time it should bother anyone is if there's real anger/potential danger behind it, but it's not the actual words that are the issue in a situation like that. And racist stuff literally doesn't bother me at all. I actually really like the word ******, it has lots of different uses.
