Don't care.

Then again, I've never been on a plane.

i was on a flight one time and we were going through the worst turbulence i've ever experienced. Had no idea the pilot was a female until she spoke over the radio during the turbulence. was scared for my life rest of the way. lol

Lol @ voting no. None of you would have the balls to actually try to take the next flight, assuming you even found out soon enough to do it.

there have been instances where planes have been saved from crashing or they were able to minimize damage during a crash due to a pilot's quick thinking/experience. I would trust a man in that scenario over a woman 100/100 times.

Commercial plane with autopilot, sure. A little Cessna, vintage plane or something like that, no way unless they were a super butch dyke, the part of the brain that flies planes is atrophied in women and I'd love anyone to tell me I'm wrong about that.

i never said they do. I know that turbulence is harmless for the most part and planes are built to withstand it. I'm just saying if the plane was going to have some type of emergency, i'd rather have a male handling it than a female.

If it wasn't a major schedule inconvenience, I would absolutely. A couple hours in an airport bar is no biggie.

Pilots don't get paid to fly from A to B. The computer does that. They get paid to take over in an emergency, in which case they really DO matter.

This. There's other professions I absolutely want a female doing the job. It's not even a sexist thing, it's a who is better at what based on averages thing.

do you even reason bro? Majority of pilots in the world are males so of course most crashes are going to have male pilots. this doesn't prove anything. Neither does posting one example of a female doing a good job during an emergency landing.

We had plenty if female pilots in the navy, I have no issues with them.

Pilots can see it coming and avoid it in a lot of cases. E.g. in South Africa they have to appoint black pilots and they have a **** load of thunder storms over there. They just fly straight through them because the auto pilot says so. Not saying women do that though, I'm pretty sure they hate thunderstorms because it frizzes up their hair.
