anyone else notice that the powerlifting community attracts degenerates. serious

most powerlifters are part of the lgbtqrs have colored hair, massive feminists, liberals etc. the women 90% of the time are either obese or look like men due to the roids the take. most of these guys get f ucked in the ass and the girls are massive swingers STDs. a lot of them aren’t even that strong, the strongest people I know don’t powerlift. overly complex programming and a weird SJW culture. they all have strong squats but poverty deadlift and especially bench. will never join a powerlifting gym.

I used to train for powerlifting, and was quite into what I thought the culture was. But over the years it got real weird for me. I only follow a handful of guys now. It has become more of a pissing contest, and which powerlifter can act the toughest and say the realest thing.

Even when Julius Maddox broke the WR bench the first time, a couple of the powerlifters I follow were ****ting on his coach for the most ridiculous thing. Then you got these guys talking about how tough they are and how hard they used to work in the gym compared to nowadays.

I agree about the weird SJW chit. I'm such sick of the constant attention whoring and ridiculous posts.

there’s one powerlifting gym in my hometown and I check the Instagram. all of them are obese queers. they use powerlifting suits and nonsense range of motion to add 200lbs+ to their squat. I don’t even train for strength and I’m stronger than all of them on bench. can’t stand goddamn liberals and sjw body positivity. no hate to gays.

over $100+ per month too. just lol

I'll probably get flamed for this but so is the bodybuilding community imo. I mean, i go on instagram and see a lot of "bodybuilders" jacked, melontan, spend all their time at the gym etc they don't really have any real career, spend a lot of time going to fitness expos, posting on social media, tanning etc. Also girls who lift and post on social media etc. Takng pictures of their meal prep, doing squats etc. Cringe as ****. Degenerate as ****.

I don't know what you're talking about, OP.

I stopped caring about it when it got really popular with cringelords online, maybe 2014? and suddenly every fat Asian kid was wearing oly shoes and spending 2 hours in the rack to squat 315, and every ugly fat neckbeard was doing ripetard squats.

Seems like people grew up a bit as I've not seen much of that kind of cringe in commerical gyms these last few years

obese dykes who "powerlift" are some the most disgusting, embarrassing things you'll see in the gym, ESPECIALLY 40% bf pigs who justify using AAS while looking like they should be on TLC my 600lb life - along with the skinny-fat "tough lifters"

Crossfit 2.0 with that pricing. It has turned into a female empowerment festival.

Kind of sad how powerlifting culture has been infiltrated.

Is there ANY communal activity, fitness or otherwise, that doesn't turn into a monster cringe fest once it starts to garner likes on social media?

I briefly went to a PL gym but the guys there were ridiculously bitchy and didn't seem to like that I was stronger than (almost) all of them in every lift, and after a few weeks equipped lifting was way stronger than them even though they had learned the "skill" of equipped lifting

I knew it was a joke when I put up 585 the 3rd time using a bench shirt, thankfully I quit before I damaged my body too much using equipment. There were dudes there suiting up to squat 365 lmao

My friend trained PL until he went to a meet in florida. He set WR but every single one was SO awkward that he literally quit the sport after that.

True story

He said that Layne Norton (PHD) was extremely fuking awkward too. I would never make this up btw.

Powerlifters are the big-boned endomorphs who have no chance to look shredded and aesthetic so they turn to powerlifting. Just like the dude from the "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" documentary. Likewise I as a tall lanky ecto have no chance to excel at powerlifting, so I'm sticking more lifting light and looking shredded.

Everyone's gotta have some good copes to survive.

Every single gym has these lol. Geared up to the tits with SBD sleeves, wrist wraps, inzer belt, oly shoes, chalk and emulating their fav yootoob celery's pre squat ritual by stomping their feet.. only to do one rep with 315

Powerlifters and bodybuilders actually have big drama. Unless you follow the respective youtubers/news resources you probably never hear much about it.

Like back when Lui Marco still covered Mr. O, I saw all this chit about Phil Heath being an arrogant prick and calling out other competitors.

I think that culture gives them a sense of security, that despite their being a weirdo they are among other weirdos so they feel somewhat normal and paid attention to within that group. Same with most the goofy over the top gays out there like that, femenists or very overweight groups, and various other liberal/sjw weirdos. That's why the cultures are intermingled.

because powerlifting, extreme bodybuilding, etc. attracts weirdos that don't fit in

do you see Chads and Stacies doing chit like this? Nah, they are admired and happy being just the way they are. They don't need to find a niche, they already made it
