My test is 340, doc says it’s normal?

Had bloodwork done for my test levels, doc said my levels are normal and feeling suspect I looked at my results from my lab online since they didn’t tell me. results says 340 and nothing else, no in-depth metrics or anything. Feel like 340 is too low for my age, what do?

i could swear that lifters ironically have lower test levels than non-lifting soyboys ded srs

have seen a million of these threads, and not all are cutting

i bet lifting itself raises test in the short term but lowers it overall or some chit like that due to the fact that you're in a constant repair state

Low AF, but considered normal. Unless you have severe symptoms of low T, you won't get it treated. Best try some supplements, change diet, habits, sleep, etc, to try and raise it.

That's so low.

Are you lifting?
Are you eating enough fats?
Are you getting enough sleep?
Are you taking enough zinc or Vitamin D?
Are you constantly stressed out?
Are you having enough sexors?

Make sure you take care of these things and go see an endocrinologist!

Possibly this

I went to a GP a few weeks ago due to not feeling great, blah blah, had blood work done, test was 649......told me I didn't need to know free test, E ratio, T3 or T4.....suggested that I see a Therapist.

Going to an actual endo soon.

Mine was at 260-290 and they told me I was fine. Basically stole 3 years of my life.

If you do find the rare GP/endocrinologist that will help they stick you at 450-550 and that is it.

The "Aging Clinics" will typically help anyone below 450 and boost them up to 800-1000. Though they almost never take insurance.

With quarterly labs, monthly visits, and the drugs+AI I am paying about $2000 a year.

time to hop on dat dere brah.

thats def not normal for a 28 year old male... i got my mine checked around 2 years back and it was mid 700s which, unless youre talking to an idiot doc, should be in the normal range for men in their 20s.

This. You're on the very low end of the "normal" range. The problem with that, is a GP is only going to diagnose you when it's ridiculously low and you have serious side effects. It's pretty disappointing how doctors manage low t. They're either uneducated, or simply do not want to address it.

asked to look at testosterone in my last set of labs for my yearly checkup, my primary care physician declined that option...when I went in, she asked me "why do you want to know, when you have these" (and grabbed my biceps)

I'd regard 'low test' with some caution. I have had therapy through two different doctors due to low numbers and tbh I'm not sure what to think. The protocol was pretty dumb though. Estrogen was not controlled very well, if not at all sometimes.

I get the impression anymore that one shouldn't look at the numbers so much but rather start looking at other factors, such as diet and rule out sleep disturbances. I vaguely recall some renown powerlifter/bodybuilder (can't remember which, i wanna say he was mentioned on one of mark bells videos) and he had lower numbers.

I'm not even sure how much study has really gone into TT and FT numbers relative to lifestyle and physical activity. Is it normal perhaps for some to have lower numbers because their body is being taxed more? Is it normal for some men to maybe be more efficient with testosterone? Seems mileage may vary when it comes to exogenous testosterone.

To put in more perspective, before treatments i had been lifting 4-6 months and already was putting up around 275-295 lbs on the bench for some reps. Some of that was prob muscle memory from earlier in my life. My test around this time was ~165 TT. Even my primary care doctor looked at me and doubted the numbers would be low before the results came back in. Was like 'you don't have low test'. I was convinced something was up because of other symptoms and yea. Looking back I think i should have given things a fairer shake prior to the blood draw, like getting more sleep, diet. I figured I wanted to see the lowest range than the highest.

I would really just wait for now. Just completely disregard it for a few years and make a point to regard it - like an appointment. Find more natural adjustments before resorting to it.

Also, if you are training very hard (intensity), just expect sex drive to lower. Expect sleep disturbances. I think the late Charles poliquin mentioned the correlation with sleep issues and training.

Juggling recovery is a huge battle with strength and muscle development. your body rewards you by being consistent and gradual (while not overdoing it). Sometimes cumulative fatigue and stress on the body adds up over a month or more, and your body requires you to deload and/or change your routine. This is why periodization is such a great idea. If you always approach training at the same pitch, you'll have problems progressing (imo).

The temptation for many is to hit perpetual PRs in all exercises but in reality, that's so unrealistic each week. Maybe if you specialize in on one major compound this is doable. Your body can only allocate resources so fast for your entire body. Is it any surprise that numbers might lower because of hitting things all over with 90% + intensity?

Better yet, see an anti aging doc.

Most endos just treat diabetes and don't know crap about hormone replacement.

Along the same lines............Female GP (see previous post earlier in the thread about her telling me I didn't need anything other that Total Test checked) also told me

"There is no reason other than libido to put someone on TRT"

Should have known then......it was time to do a 360 and walk out

check out human chorionic gonadotrophin. It stimulates your balls to produce more test and sperm, hence why its used as a male fertility treatment

basically grow your balls and increase test
