Should parents have to provide receipts for how child support is spent?

Title is the question?

Or a court order if the parent paying the child support sees basic needs not being met, ie: clothing for school, holes in shoes, medications not being purchased that are needed, school supplies, etc

I mean with foster children it’s mandatory as a foster parent to provide receipts for social workers to prove the child they are caring for is being taken care of

Child support shouldn't exist.

If you want money to support your broke ass kids you shouldn't fuk around with somebody who is going to dip on you. Do a better job choosing a mate instead of expecting society to cover your poor decisions by enforcing financial care.

Child support encourages divorce, whores, and bad womaning

Yes. And housing expenses should be limited to the increase in the average rent between a 1br and 2br apartment in the area, so if it costs $250 more on average to rent a 2br you only get to claim $250 for housing.

How would this be 100% fool proof though? They can always return the sht they buy for the kid can't they?

Or even worse, say they're spending it on groceries, electricity, water bills etc (all things they should be providing anyway) and then not spend a cent more on the child.

Something should be done though, srs, I have a buddy who dishes out a few grand every month on child support and the other parent doesn't do a single thing but buy designer sht.

No. With the exception of celebrities etc most people are paying way less in child support than it costs to raise a child. Having to provide receipts to show you bought your children stuff every week is insane.

If they're spending less on their children than they receive in child support it's going to be neglect, as you mentioned, and would be obvious and should be dealt with, you don't need receipts to prove a child is starving, homeless, has no clothes, etc.

I really like this idea. I have friends who go through divorce and the guys are literally paying out the FK'N arseholes in child support. Meanwhile moms sporting a benz working a min wage job. Just LOL.

Maybe a monthly budget reporting or some kind of bank account that can track where it's going so that statements can be shown.

Poor bastards. I truly feel sorry for dudes sometimes.

My buddy is in this exact situation. Baby momma is basic ass bish who parties every weekend and buys designer chit.

100% agree the recipient of child support should provide receipts that they're buying things for their child.

That is super nifty.

Part of a Parents rights movement, so trying to change things. But you can pay child support and it can be used for drugs, then buy your child things and then have them sold or pawned, then what? There’s no need for proof how the money was spent

I don't know about other states but in Tx food stamps come on a debit style card (EBT card aka Lonestar card) and that card can be used for pretty much anything in a grocery store. Numerous times back in high school working at Walmart I saw folks buying hundreds of dollars worth of steaks/seafood/junk food/sodas and putting it all on their EBT card.

only food items and soda but you can’t buy ready to eat food like cooked chickens, no bath or cleaning products, etc no pet food, booze, cookware, I think candy and soda is kinda silly

I think it’s a good idea. Or at least have some system that can allocate the funds to designated things. I know there are parents out there who abuse the child support and spend it on stupid chit and then neglect the child.

If I had to come up with receipts, I wouldn’t mind one bit.

Yes, I have known/seen women who use maybe 20% of what they pay on the child and splurge the rest of it. I am paying over a grand a month and I know his mother doesnt use all of it on him.
There should be paper trails for child support. If there is money left over it should go into a account for education once they get older or for medical emergencies. As of now my sons mother doesn't have to do squat to better herself since shes getting so much.

This sounds like a goos idea, and I would support a policy like this.
β€œSteroids is now just a word that the lazy and ignorant use to describe any guy that has more muscle and dedication than them”– Mike O'Hearn

"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

Not sure how practical that is, but yeah I absolutely think (in an ideal world) there should be major accountability for that.

Moronic post. Everyone ITT wants to pay for the child, but paying child support in excess that gets used so the mother can get a new LV bag is ridiculous.

I am a family law atty and I’ve seen crazy stuff, worst case mom got into drugs, so did the 15 year daughter, turned into a crack house where they were living, teens have a lot of say which parent they want to live with. There was never food in the home, mom let the daughter do unquestionable things to pay for habits. Grandmother was paying the moms atty fees so the case kept going on, and grandmother β€œtook” custody, but not really. Then mom getting state help and child support had the dad shot by her boyfriend in the middle of the night with the 5 year old at home because she was going to lose child support and custody.....

I somewhat see the point but then we'd have to raise taxes to fund the government programs to monitor this and it could be a time consuming task for those having to submit their budgets/receipts.

In theory - yes. In practice - hellllll no.

This would cost millions upon millions to attempt (key word) to enforce and would make family court even more of a clusterfukk. Can you imagine chasing all these dumb slunt single moms around for receipts? Good luck with that.

I think it’s a very, very small percent of women who would see their child go hungry, cold or without proper shoes.

As to receipts for child care.. go fukk yourself, if you’re stupid enough to knock someone up, take the motherfuggin punishment. Sucks to be you.
