Someone broke into our business at 4:19 this morning. AMA

Title. We have a snoball stand. It's very profitable. Three fine, upstanding young gentlemen decided they needed our stuff.

We live in Hattiesburg.

The idiots took the $105 out of the register. They tore out the air conditioner unit, climbed through, unlocked the door, let a dude in, had a dude outside watching, and proceeded to do thief stuff. It's retarded because there was a A LOT more money in there, but they concentrated on the register. There were coins, payroll checks, cash in an envelope, electronics, flavors. Easily could've gotten 2k worth of stuff had they looked around. I mean, I'm glad they didn't lol but still.


Then, my wife found $65 in the parking lot. And it wasn't from the stand haha. It was three 20s and a 5. They don't leave 20s in the register. I am trying to get a picture to download from my phone so I can run to imgur with it.


So we lost a total of $40 dollars basically. That and we are out $80 dollars to thief-proof where they got in.

My buddy, whose wife is my wife's business partner too, called me at 7:45 this morning. He said the air conditioner was on the ground and the filter cover was way off from the building. We knew it was a break-in at that point.

Side hustle. Had it for six years. It's at a busy four-way stop. Down from a park and a daycare. A mile or so from a large high school. But it legit could be a main job with the money my wife and her friend make. The business gets 40% and they both take 30%.


I guess the pictures are going to take forever to come through. I emailed them to me and will upload them here if they ever come through.

Incidentally while we're on the topic I drove about 35 minutes to take my girlfriend to an out of town snowball stand. Snowballs there were like $5-$20 but were legit. I'm talking they'll carve out a piece of fruit, put the snowball in it, and have chopped up fruit on the side for you to put in it, etc. (Think watermelon, pineapples, etc.) I didn't think they'd be 'that' busy but they were swamped with people. In the middle of a week day.



Definitely thought about opening up a stand. I just don't know what she'd do in the winter time.

We have thought about. We met with our current landlord (he leases us the land) and he wants 1 million dollars for two acres. He's Vietnamese (not that it has any relevance to his asking price but huhrarious nonetheless). We said nah. Then we met with a Patel fellow (Thundersmell Patel) and he wanted to let us lease a place close to Walmart, but the area he was going to provide was too small. Our stand has a walk up window and two drive-thru windows. We may still build on our own land somewhere, but we ain't paying 1 million for an acre of land.

We have a place like that literally a mile from our stand. They're called "SnoBoogers" of all things....

It's a stand. There's only one area they would come up to the stand on foot, and that's the front part. We have a small porch where they order. Most people use the two drive-thrus, which go in opposite directions.
