The problem with Gillette is that not even their most powerful razor gives as close a shave as possible.

Not to mention you're cutting your face with 3-4 different blades at once.

Not even factoring in price and their ridiculous marketing campaign, I always found that military style safety razors to be superior


These mog hard, you can buy 100 blades (around 500 shaves) for 20 dollars and never worry about it again. Gives me that youthful JB slayer baby face whenever I shave and it only uses 1 blade (doesn't damage, nick, etc)

These work well, I use feathers, but I still run over everything with a mach 3 afterwards because I nick my adams apple, around lips, under nose, etc. with the safety razor if I try to get too cute.

If you're doing cartridge why not go with a good one? You don't always need to be baby bottom smooth. Rep op for Gillette

Gillette Mach 5 razor works by pulling the hair up and cutting it into pieces, minimizing blade contact. Other blades directly touch the skin, which is the sole cause of nicks and razor burns.

No other blades compare to Gillette. Others try to imitate what they can see. But where Gillette truly shines is on the molecular level. On the tip of every blade is a special coating that keeps it sharp and last for months. The R&D facility at Gillette is what sets it apart from inferior brands. That is why Gillette blades come at a premium price - because its a premium product.
