No way. The writer will get fired, and Tucker will release a statement condemning the hateful rhetoric and carry on like normal. You don't cancel a show with his ratings if you don't have to. If Tucker himself had said those things then yeah, but it was just his writer.

Probably not, everyone associated with cancel culture is hated by the people that watch Fox News anyways. Do you think a bunch of blue hairs are going to sway the boomers that watch Fox News into demanding that Tucker Carlson be off the air? Also any company that is remotely left leaning wouldn't dare advertise on Fox News anyways and at this point everyone differentiates Fox News from other Fox ventures (which is owned by Disney interestingly enough).

Tucker is a very high risk individual. There are undoubtedly 100s if not 1000s of Leftys doing everything they can to unearth something to cancel him with. They couldn't come up with anything so they had to settle for one of his writers.

He would just start a Podcast which would probably be better content anyway, it would just be bad from the perspective that the non-internet people would lose the only non-corrupt, rancid, human filth MSM talking head.

His show is not only the highest rated on fox news but it is the highest rated across all news media. And its not even close.

Just read an article saying he had the best viewership numbers in cable news history.

So to cancel him would be a blow to the entire industry. But in 2020 anything is possible.

Unfortunately the ratings won't save him forever. Unless he was pulling 10+ mil, it's not enough ever since they scared away his advertisers. The progressives figured out a long time ago that corporate America's aversion to risk was easily exploitable. They're all worried about the impact of a boycott and the bad press. There's no evidence that they can actually hurt a large corporation like that, but there isn't a single company brave enough to take a stand and find out

Eventually I predict Fox quietly pushes him out (Lachlan Murdoch is about as establishment a Republican as you can get) and he either ends up at something like OANN or basically starts a podcast/radio show

That is exactly what Oreilly did but still floundered.
The average age of the O'Reilly viewer was probably like 80, and he was offed for being a sexual deviant. How many of his crowd know how to get on podcasts, let alone operate a computer.

I realized this a few years ago as well. Corporations are extremely and pathetically risk averse. I think they’ll eventually realize an angry twitter mob means nothing to the bottom line, but for now the tail wags the dog
