Fkn lol if you know too languages

I live in both Asia and the US. Grew up in the US though.

When I'm in the motherland, I always tell the government to not waste their time pushing the civilians to learn a second language - particularly English.

There's a few reasons for this:

1. Second language adopters will carry around a heavy accent and wonder why they get made fun of on the misc. How can she slap, right?

2. A weak second language can be detrimental to conducting business. If you have watched a lecture on YouTube by an Indian teacher, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

3. Learning a new language waters down your primary one.

So unless you grew up speaking two languages, forget learning a new one.

This isn't a chit post at all. I honestly mean it when I say, don't learn a second language. Become a master in your primary tongue instead.

Isn't English really the only language that you need? It is the primary language used throughout the majority of the world.

How about personal hobbies and travels? Learning Chinese has made traveling through China a totally different experience than the typical tourist. Also in New York our China towns are huge and you get treated like a king when you walk in and speak mandarin.

I've been speaking English for so long that I've lost the ability to speak Viet on a more complex level. I find myself stuttering and often looking slightly retarded when I interact with the Viet folks.
