anyone used a Herman Miller chair?

are they worth the price?

from the UK and looking for a good ergonomic computer chair.

i would love one with folding arms because I play guitar but I don't think they exist (good ones)

Also play guitar, I just have a cheap chitty computer chair and unscrewed the folding arms.. Looks poverty as fuk tbh but comfortable to play, also sometimes use a piano chair, feel like i have better posture to play but too lazy to keep changing chairs all the time.

Such is life for timothy bedroom guitar player, while the chad shredders play live and fuk groupies they don't have to worry about chairs

My work has them in their conference room. They are very adjustable, comfortable and provide great back support...You can get a knockoff or similarly styled and comfortable chair for a quarter of the price or less, however.

I have a knock off that I picked up at Staples and its about 90% as comfortable at 1/10th the cost..

I bought a used herman miller mirra over 10 yrs ago and it's still going strong. The thing is built like a tank. The armrests go down pretty low, which keeps them out of the way.

If you're looking for adjustable arms that swivel completelety out of the way, here is the chair we use in office. It's pretty solid and durable and the arm design is a nice feature.

Workplace uses the Aerons or whatever they are.
I like them.

But you get 90% of the comfort from an Ikea Markus (mesh version) at way less cost

I don't know anything about the aeron tbh. Bought it cause I wanted something comfortable and aesthetic for my apartment. Have had it for couple years now and have no regrets.

I recommend it strongly. There should be a lot of offices going under or reducing staffing, so look for a used Aeron locally. There are individual sellers and businesses that repurpose used office furniture.

I've had an Aeron here at home for a few years now and it makes a big difference from seemingly more comfortable cheap chairs with a bunch of padding.

Yes, they are very user serviceable and there are a lot of the parts around. The chairs are all marked with a date from the factory so you can assess the age easily on the underside of the chair. You don't want to pay hundreds for a 20+ year old chair.

One thing to consider when comparing costs is that the warranty on a new one is quite extensive. So there should be a significant discount to justify not buying new. You can get a moderately equipped Aeron for $700ish new from an authorized online retailer

Bought an Aero for my home office. Sitting in it right now. Wish I had done it years earlier.

On so many levels it is a better, more comfortable chair to use. I am sure there are some that will do similar for less money, but you know 100% that these chairs work well. If you spend a lot of time seated, you wont regret it.

I ended up buying one from a reputable dealer because I kept finding counterfeit ones for sale on eBay etc.

It's definitely possible but do your research on how to spot a fake.

i can't really justify spending £1,000 on a chair, but i would spend up to £400

i can get this refurbed classic one for my budget.

I got an Aeron a month ago, but made a mistake and did not order it with height adjustable armrests. It was perfect in every other way, so I just returned it and ordered another one with fully adjustable arms. 100% recommend if you're sitting down all day for work or whatever, completely worth full retail price.
