how do you rate Bruce the shark?

so this popped up in my recommended today and since it's one of my all-time favorites I obviously gave it a watch



around halfway through the Drinker states Bruce the shark looks fake and bad

this is something I've heared so many times already before but I just don't see it

obviously you KNOW it's fake and you're looking at a rubber shark but my mind has always processed it as a shark



in comparison the CGI sharks in modern productions look fake to me, f.e.



is this just how my brain is wired and it accepts animatronics better than CGI or what is this?

Bruce was a chitty shark, but the master mind of Spielberg made it look like a million bucks. In fact he planned a lot more shots of the shark, but as it worked bad most of the time, he had to come up with the yellow barrels idea.

Don´t know why, before enter the thread, i thought it would be about "Sharky" from Thailand, didn´t remember his name was Tim lol. He had a feud with Chestbrah which made all the misc lol back in the day
