A light bulb burned out in my room and smelled super chemically. what could it be?

not burned but like some kind of chemical. it was a heavy smell. never experienced this

What kind of bulb was it? Fluorescent? Halogen? LED? That'd be a good starting point.

It wasn't a pleasant smell

Your brain probably interpreted it as such because of a past memory


Burned bulbs give a smell of burnt rubber and chemical, it's putrid


The brain can cause people to smell things that aren't even present, the mind controls everything

All those energy saving bulbs are made with the cheapest chinese low grade components
Capacitors, Resistors and Transistors are all complete garbage in them.
