Yes.

Parents had a summer condo in Nantasket beach when I was born. Basically was playing in the ocean before I could walk.
Then they sold that and bought a place on cape cod so the ocean was always a big part of my life.

I’ve swam many times in the ocean at night and it is a weird feeling.

My 2 nightmares are ending up in the Further "Insidious", and being stuck in the ocean at night. No thanks jeff.

I still have nightmares about being stranded in the ocean.

Did it at the Luminous Lagoon in Jamaica, but it's an inlet and not necessarily open water. They take you out at night and the lagoon is full of some type of microorganism that illuminates with friction, so they glow around you when swimming

Pretty cool stuff tbh

I did this at 17 while staying at a resort in mexico. Was dope.


I've also been night diving and turned my flashlight off for a bit. Was not dope.


On the same trip that I dove in the dark I spent 12 nights staring up at the open sky a hundred miles from land.

Yes, but you can get some light from the moon and stars.

It's not nice and it helps if you have nerves of steel. Even strong swimmers freeze up and have breathing difficulties when in deep waters at night.

I enjoy ocean swimming, just not deep water so much. I'll save that for lakes.

I would however like to experience being on a tanker in the middle of the ocean during a storm pushing 40ft waves.

When we dive in a minefield or if we're trying to conserve bottom time we often dive alone...and we go as deep as 300'...at night.

I have been on the surface treading water in the ocean at night and it is scary as fuk. It's worse when the water is warm because your mind is free to think about what is going to eat you. When the water is cold, that's all you think about.
