Best living situation
I was just thinking about my favorite living situations, over the past couple of decades, and what events made them worse, or better.
I've shared bedrooms, I've had male roommates, I've had female roommates, I've lived with gfs, I've had my own place.
The best living situation has been where (a) I had my own bedroom for privacy and (b) my roommates were men, and not in a serious relationship.
Whenever myself or any of my guy roommates get into serious relationships, I feel like my living situation declines and isn't as enjoyable. The girlfriend always starts to dominate time, dominate attention, and 'control' the guy. It just ruins what was a chill and fun dynamic between a few chill guys. Having a girlfriend is just a loss of flexibility too.
I wonder if any other guy here feels that way. I know it's a natural progression or whatever, but just occurred to me.

1) dad's basement
why it's best: save a lot of money, bigger than an apartment, good location, sometimes my dad buys extra groceries and I can leech, free internet, electricity, and water, minimal rent, washer/dryer available on site
cons: probably never get laid, get yelled at daily about being a loser, constantly threatened to be kicked out but never actually kicked out

I live with my cousin heโs hardly ever here but when he is I canโt stand it. I bought a nice TV for the living area and eventually put it in my room cause he was hogging it. I wanna live on my own
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Significant other that has her own **** to do would be the ideal for me. As in "you know what, im going to be playing FIFA with the boys for the next like 4-5 hours"... and thats it. No nagging, no bull****, no fights, not her trying to make me jealous or get out of the house alone all mad god knows where, or her giving me **** for weeks because im a videogame addict that barely pays attention to her etc.
Just someone that understand the importance of having their own time, especially before we have kids which by then all that goes out of the table. Youd be surprised how weird its to find a girl like that.
I kid you not, most woman nowadays, you can be just chilling in bed together, doing absolutely nothing, her checking her phone and you checking yours (women can do that for hours), and god forbids you dare turning on the xbox even right there next to them, because they will lose their ****. Its like, "you dont get to have fun without me..."
Thats a quick NOPE for me.

Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

It isn't jealousy, I've considered that angle and I've also been in the one with the serious girlfriend.

We are very similar, and if we have one thing, that is self-awareness, which comes a long way into being happy and successfull with relationships. I feel like you will meet a special girl soon.

Iโve been alone so long that Iโm so used to doing whatever I want for 100% of my free time. Itโs a luxury and I know Iโll have a hard time switching back to compromising on how to spend free time. Even though ofc itโs worth it for the right guy.
