Can you train LEGS adequately using just DBs?

Can you?

What are some good exercises to do in a small area?

I have a squat rack currently but probably going to sale it bc Im moving soon and wont have room to set it up anywhere in the near future.

I currently have some powerblocks that are getting delivered next month that I will be using moving forward. Currently just have a 300lb weight set/hex bar/squat rack/bench/pulley system attachment.

Im not even sure how ill lift in the between the time I move and I get the DBs...probably just rely on deadlifts with bar and hex bar and use the bare plates as best I can.

goblet squats, and a million lunges should do the trick. if you have a bench, you could do hamstring curls as well

Isometrics and pyramid sets don't see why not?
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Split squats, Bulgarian split squat, DB leg curl, goblet squat, DB RDL, lunges, dB calf raise

Can get a great leg workout. Just might get boring after a while

I would work on pistol squats first then add in the others

This whole covid thing came and my legs are currently better than ever after I started doing walking lunges with DB's in each hand. Way tougher than any other leg workout I've done but I was still shocked I just did one exercise... Along with squats here and there... and I didn't lose any size at all.

Do you go heavy on the lunges? Or do lighter weight with high reps?

Same, man. Just been focusing on compound movements and progressive overload, whether it be more reps or more weight. My legs been sore all summer. Feels good, mane.

It really depends how big/strong your legs are at the moment. And if you have a barbell and a decent power clean you could still front squat without a rack, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have bumper plates. You can still do any deadlift variations without a rack, so you can get your heavier loading in with those and then just torch your quads with high rep DB work.

I guess do goblet squats followed immediately by upright hex bar DLs?

Good luck

You can do but it’s a lot ****ing easier if you can just do some regular BB squats. My legs have completely wasted away in lockdown

I tore my hammie in 3 places at Xmas.

Feb had a hip surgery

Gyms closed for wu flu so I had to rehab just with squats, and tore a tendon in my quad by the hip repair because it was too much of the same stress loading

Legs not on point RN

Beware.

I would vastly prefer regular squats, much easier and controlled.
What kind on back issues are you dealing with? I myself have sciatica, lumbar arthritis/bone spurring and have (sort of) designed my workout to accomodate these issues. But i dont do much DB work.

Your body doesnt understand the amount of weight you are lifting, it understands the amount of effort you are doing.

Compensate your lack of intensity with higher volume.
