Getting shoulder mri and seeing ortho sports doc
shoulder been injured for 2.5 years now still hurts lifting/raising. finally getting mri. praying i don't need surgery and it can be easily fixed.
but even if i do need surgery should i do it? i want to be 100% so i can bench/shoulders

Had labrum repaired 7/18/19. Was healing fine until Feb when all progress stopped and I regressed badly. Steroid shots did nothing. I had a PRP shot yesterday and fingers crossed for results. If this doesn't work, it's back under the knife

Im doing plasma infuse injections on my rotator cuff.
Did an MRI and I got rotator cuff injury.
Basically take out my own blood and make plasma and inject directly on injury spot.
Also starting physical therapy tomorrow.
35 bucks a visit.

Got a posterior labrum repair coming up for my left shoulder and hopefully for my right soon after
If there’s any instability and positive results on imaging of substantial labrum tear/RTC/ligament tear don’t waste your time with PT despite whatever they say ... it certainly helped getting to a “functional” level but most likely won’t get you to the level you want if you are a serious lifter.
For background info I am 23 and compete in powerlifting quite successfully and am definitely severely depressed bc if this lmao it’s like your life is snagged away from you ... all because of stupidity and overtraining ... if you need someone to talk to lmk bc I probably need it more lol
Best of luck
